You are gonna laugh at this. One of the shoes is a winter bootie that I bought back in Feb with the hope of hitting 140 before the end of winter. It didn't happen so it stayed in the box and will now be used this coming winter. I'm not strict just with my kids!

Once the bills were paid for those shoes, they should be treated as spontaneously appearing. Similar to mushrooms after a rain. No adverse effect on your go-forward budget.

I don't know if it's called the ethic or the morale. See, I shouldn't have bought them before reaching goal but I was worried they might sell out. SO my compromise was "buy but don't wear until 140"....I know, totally crazy.
