G'morning menu peeps!

Karen - that gazebo looks gorgeous. Phenomenal job.

Start of summer and thank god DS finally found a job. He's been out of school since June 5th and looking for a job. But when on your resume it says no previous job experience I guess nobody wants you. DH knows the owner of our local 5 guys so texted him and asked if they are hiring. I guess even for a lowly minimum wage job you need to have connections. His shifts for now are 8:00-3:00 which means a lot of food prep. It's good for him to do some basic level work to realize what a privilege it is to be able to go to college. I remember one summer in high school I was an au-pair to a bratty kid, I swore to myself that I had to study and get a good job so to never have to babysit anybody.

No specific plans for the weekend, just enjoying the sun when it decides to burn the fog and come out but not counting much on it.

Accountability: OK.

My meals for the day:

  • Coffee, coffee, and more coffee
  • cauliflower rice + eggs
  • Turkey meatballs
  • Yogurt or parm cheese

Morning menu peeps~ My chiropractor was able to get me in yesterday and my back and hips are feeling great today! But, my UTI is back so the ER doc I saw before wrote me a new script since the original one didn't cut it. Lovely, right? I'm home today feeling achy and well... the other stuff but should be feeling better in a few hours when the meds kick in I'm sure. Looking forward to the weekend! We are hitting the gym tomorrow and I'm excited! I've never worked out with Rob other than hiking so this should be fun. Our living room furniture is being delivered today. Since we got the reversible chaise we need to put it together after we decide how we are going to arrange everything. SO excited!!

Mornin' All!

I've been busy this morning - finishing up with yogurt-making, cleaning up the kitchen, doing all the cat stuff. It's a two-person job to get all the cat stuff squared away in the morning (food, water, meds, cat boxes) - otherwise, it can take forever. And I'm on my own until late Sunday night when DH gets back. But...I had the time - it just took awhile to do it all. Then a meeting with our contractor to make a couple more decisions. I'll be glad when this project is over!! I'm leaving in a few minutes to do my monthly spiel with a pre-op group, then my film discussion group is meeting over lunch. This afternoon I'll do some more work on my group's Web site and go to a yoga class. I reinstated my membership at the studio since I think I'm fine with (gentle) yoga as long as I avoid the more intense stretches and twists.

accountability was great yesterday; Cleveland weight (4 lbs!) is finally gone. YAY!

4 years out:

B: protein pancakes topped with 1/3 C plain Greek yogurt, pieces from 1/2 mango, and SF cinnamon syrup, coffee with half & half

MS: may do a protein bar rather than shake since we won't be served lunch until around 1:00. Too many temptations at the restaurant and I don't want to risk overdoing it!

L: 1/2 an Impossible Burger with 1/2 of the bun, avocado, gouda cheese, and a piece of bacon

AS: if needed, raw veggies with ranch Greek yogurt or a L&F yogurt

D: salad with chicken breast and light balsamic vinaigrette

ex: yoga for sure - maybe 30 minutes on the stationary bike or walking, too
