Good morning menu friends! Probably no walk for Miss Lily and I this morning as its raining hard but we'll just have to see. Accountability was spot on yesterday food and stepwise even with the trip to the Amish restaurant. I managed to stay away from the 5000 types of dessert but may have drooled on some cinnamon rolls in the bakery! I had a small whole wheat roll,a third of a small chicken pot pie and a few sweet potato fries without the brown sugar sauce. I drank coffee and chatted while everyone else had dessert. Lily and I did 3 walks and al ltotal I had 10,458 steps. Weight today is 123. Lily and I will do several walks after work today and here's the food plan B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 1/2 of the leftover chicken pot pie D 4 oz baked salmon S if needed hummus and 4 pretzels. Not enough coffee so feel free to add a QOTD. Have a great day full of smart and conscious choices everyone!

Good Morning Karen and Menuers,

Karen, I am with you about not having enough coffee. I feel exhausted and the day just began! After coffee I'll get my veggie cart set up. I have a bunch of chores to do before DH comes home and then we are heading out to do last minute errands for the picnic on Saturday. I love hosting this picnic every year but it stresses us both out getting ready.

B: soft boiled egg with everything bagel seasoning

L: left over burger with lettuce, tomato and onion

D: out running errands

100+ ounces of water and all vitamins!

Have a great day everyone!

Morning all! Another very hot and humid and stormy day here in MD. Even this morning waiting for the train, it was soupy...ugh!

Well, in good news, I am not only a certified personal trainer (May 29th) but I am now an employed personal trainer. My first client is in Washington state, which is really exciting and had bariatric surgery in 12/18. She is doing really well but we are hopeful that in working together she can improve her ability to be active. So exciting!

Still struggling with things at home and work but taking a day off yesterday was a good decision. Today will be busy but at least I was able to destress a bit yesterday in preparation.

In bad news, yesterday I tried a "frozen dessert" called Wink...a dairy free, soy free, sugar free (etc) frozen dessert with only 100 calories per pint. I was so hungry for ice cream so after carefully reading the label I decided to try it. Fortunately I only at 3 bites, but very quickly I thought I would DIE or at least wished I would. It was like having a charley horse in my abdomen and it took a couple of hours to pass. Any suggestions on how to help at a time like that? The hot ginger tea seemed to help somewhat but not sure if it was the ginger or just washing it out of my system...

Menu:

B: ICED coffee w/Miralax & a DD turkey sausage wake up wrap

S: CarbMaster yogurt

L: probably a chicken salad from Subway at my desk

S: turkey breast, CarbMaster yogurt

D: Lactaid cottage cheese w/ raspberries & slivered almonds

E: an hour at the gym to make up for missing yesterday because of cramps!

I always have a bottle of chewable Papaya enzymes from GNC in my cabinet. Don't take them too often, but they help digest/breakdown whatever you have eaten. I find them extremely helpful. Usually within 15 minutes I am good. I chew 3-6. Especially helpful with meat feels like it is stuck.

Good to know. GasX chewables usually work but they didn't touch it!

Sorry about your frozen dessert experience. It's sounds awful! I have no solutions for this because I don't tolerate those types of items. I have to have a little bit of the real stuff or none at all.

On another note, I love DD wake up wraps, especially the egg and cheese.

Hope your having a good day!

Thanks, Jim! No don't wear gloves like alot of women but I always take my ring off. It's as hard on the rings as it is on the hands.

When my fingers were fatter it wasn't a problem to keep it on but now it will really dig in if I wear it. Unfortunately, I always forget to take it off at home and then I'm always afraid that I will lose it.

I get it. The same thing happens with some of my earrings that I'm afraid of losing them when I workout if I take them off. The gym bag that I use most of the time has a small "coin" pocket and that is where I usually put my jewelry. Exercising with rings on really can be a problem though because your fingers may even swell a bit depending on what you're doing.
