I like AG jeans and AG in general, too.

I've been trying to figure out how to deal with my jeans too: almost all have become too big. They fit around my hips, more or less (though a pair of two could slide off - maybe I need a belt for those), but goodness, the thighs are so baggy that it looks pretty ridiculous. Shrinking them via washing and drying only lasts a brief while and before I know it there I am, full of unflatteringly baggy wrinkles again. And some of these jeans were expensive. I am bringing some in to a local seamstress to see if she can help me. I wanted to mention that while searching for someone to tailor my pants, I came across this WSJ article about having bespoke jeans made to order:

Evidently there are several companies (more than were mentioned, many with extensive legit-seeming reviews) offering this service. You choose the overall style, the fabric, the amount of strech, the color, the pocket lining, and whether you want a button fly or a zipper; in some cases you can choose the thread color and the tone of the rivets. You provide detailed measurements, and shortly thereafter your custom jeans arrive. I may try this, and if so, I will report back. It's either that or extensive tailoring here in the states, plus I think my thighs may have become more suited to Juniors sizing rather than Misses, so I'll check some of those pairs out next time I'm in the store. But YES to AG, anyway!

I've be a way a few day as my mom passed away on Sunday evening. It's been hard even with being prepared for it.

I'm trying really hard to stay on track with my food, my regain happened when she started having cluster strokes late last month. I've almost lost all of my regain...

QOTD: I love to train dogs in my free time, I used to do it professional and lost my passion for it. Once I took a regular 9-5 job my passion slowly returned. Now I run a therapy dog group and I test teams a few times a month.

When I'm just relaxing I love to read and have the new Dan Brown book sitting in my car. I also read A LOT of dog training books and do continuing education for my credentials.

losing a parent is AWFUL. I still think of my father every day, and that first year is particularly tough. I am so sorry about your mother. Be kind to yourself - this is hard. My heart goes out to you.

So sorry for your loss. As Trish said, be gentle with yourself and remember that taking good care of yourself is a way of honoring your mom and life. That said, no need for guilt trips if you aren't perfect.

Thank you ! The guilt trip part is hard. My mom was my biggest saboteur for losing weight. She'd call and ask me to bring fast food over or get her a shake. I did get stuff for her a few times, but it had to be a day I was in a good head space because I have a rule that my car isn't allowed in the drive-thru. If I was picking something up for her or going to eat myself, I had to park and go in. This rule has helped me stay on track and not slide back into bad eating habits. My car just turned two years old and hasn't been through a drive-thru.
