My brother swears by Lucky brand jeans, but I think it's a matter of preference on the style/fit of the jeans. If you go to the Lucky store (I know there's one at Woodfield mall but not sure how far of a trek that is for you) they can help you determine the fit and style. They're pricey for jeans but they are worth it if you're at your goal and don't anticipate changing sizes.
Most jeans come in waist/length sizing so you shouldn't need to get them tailored if you find a pair in your correct size at the store.

My husband prefers a slim fit, straight leg fit on his jeans, now that he's at his goal weight. I have to admit, I enjoy them on him as well lol...He also looks for denim with a little bit of lycra in it so it has a slight stretch, then they tend to mold to the booty area nicely.

Mornin' All!

I got back from Cleveland late last night. All in all, it was a good trip. Although the main reason was sad (my friend's funeral), I met up with a former classmate whom I hadn't seen in over 40 years, met many of my deceased friends' relatives and friends in person whom I'd only read or heard about before, had fun with my cousin, and finally found the grave of my grandmother's brother, who died in 1913 at age 4 of whooping cough. We'd wondered about him for about 50 years and have spent the last five years or so searching for him. It was like our birthdays and Christmas all rolled into one when we finally found his grave! (I discovered the name of the cemetery about three or four years ago when I found his death certificate - but when I contacted the cemetery then (he was not on findagrave), they said they had no record of him. So yesterday my cousin and I went to the cemetery office in person. A very helpful employee searched the written records using the death date we'd given her. Ta da! His name was spelled incorrectly on the burial record - thus, the reason they couldn't find him before!)

I did OK calorie-wise on my trip on all days but one - I went way over on the day of the funeral. It was due to having an early dinner at the funeral (c: 3:00 pm) - and then eating more around 9:00 pm because I was hungry again - and of course, the emotional reaction to the funeral. I also exercised every day. But my weight is way up this morning. I blame two lunches at delis with my cousin + the leftovers from that (each time I ate half my sandwich at the deli at lunch time - and then had the other half for dinner). Deli meat is really salty and I'm super salt-sensitive. Hopefully this'll work it's way out of my system in the next day or two. I feel SUPER waterlogged right now!! Lots of water for me today....

QOTD: Maine. I've always wanted to go there, plus it's the only state east of the Mississippi that I haven't been to. When and if I ever go to Maine, I also want to go up into Nova Scotia because I've always wanted to visit that area, too.

so glad to be home and back to my regular food routine!!!

4 years out:

B: protein pancakes with plain Greek yogurt (and SF cinnamon syrup), coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: whipped & sweetened cottage cheese

AS: L&F yogurt - maybe with mango pieces??

D: haven't even thought about this and I'm not sure what we have - I do have some turkey meatballs in the freezer, though - so maybe those with zoodles

ex: yes! At minimum, the stationary bike at the gym

have a great day, everyone!

Isn't it funny that you are only a couple of hours from me inland and the temp difference is HUGE. We are barely making it to 65 in the afternoon.
