Whats on your Monday menu RNYers?
Glad to see you back! As you know, for us with teenagers, those driving stories are terrifying.

Good morning all
its been a turbulent week last week. Monday was wonderful--we had fun and games at work for a charity event, and I went to an Alamo Drafthouse movie party for Top Gun with DH and some of our coworker friends.
Then Tuesday morning I got a phone call from my cousin's wife's daughter that he'd committed suicide in a grisly way in front of his wife. My cousin was like a sibling to me and I was at his house hanging out frequently. I am devastated, but not entirely surprised. This was not his first attempt, and I'd been over to "talk him down" multiple times in the last 3-4 years. His funeral is tomorrow.
There have been a lot of potlucks and a lot of comfort foods, but I haven't had an appetite for most of it and am back down to around my lowest weight. I've gotten some extra appointments lined up with my therapist. I've been going once a month for a while.
I'm going to work today because I'm going crazy at home with nothing to do--for the first couple days I was helping to make phone calls and organize the funeral.

Oh Cassie, that is so awful. I am so sorry!
I had a cousin commit suicide 2 years ago...we were not as close as it sounds like you were with yours but it was still very devastating and our family will obviously never be the same...I hope you can find peace quickly and joyful memories can outweigh painful ones sooner than later
