I don't personally know anything about St. Joe's nor any surgeons there, but I suggest you look for a hospital which has been designated a Bariatric Center of Excellence. Check to see which surgeon heads it, and try him or her. I had my RnY in Santa Barbara county, in Oxnard at St. John's, with the fabulous (and very handsome) Dr. Billy. It, and he, were absolutely stellar. Here are some accredited centers in your area you might check out:
