I shop rummage sales at churches in the affluent neighborhoods in my area. I found 19 new pieces of clothing today for $19 I know there is and Ann Klein dress with tags a pair of lucky Jeans and a pair of Ralph Lauren jeans each way more then the $19 I paid for 2 heaping bags of clothes. Granted you can't try on and there are no returns but that is where the local women shelter or the VVA benefits. You should try it you'll save a bunch and have a new outfit for everyday of the week. Teenie, congratulations! That's quite the haul! I did buy a couple of things on Poshmark.com recently and am pleased with those acquisitions, but overall I am not super fond of thrifting, nor of many antique stores. This despite loving some vintage styles and designers, and admiring many periods of furniture, etc. But most of those stores always feel full of invisible cobwebs to me, attaching the items to their previous owners and who knows what past random cir****tances. Postmark feels kinda cool to me, though; i don't know why but it also feels less psychically cobwebby. Odd, huh?
Not off at all. Everybody has there own quirky ticks about them. When I was young I worked in a nursing home and after the patients passed I had no problem scoring a few new pieces of clothing. Now that is odd teetering on ewe. But your a lovely lady so keep doing you.
