Good Morning Karen and Menu Folks,
Karen, thank you for getting us started every morning! Today is the day, it is finally here... the last day of school! 5th-grade students are promoted at 9:30 and by 11:00 most of them will go home and start their summer vacation. I really do like my job and I love teaching but I am ready for these children to move on.
QOTD: Baltimore Orioles - baseball, Raven - football and Capitals - hockey
Although my belly is feeling better I am just tired of food right now. Here is what I think I will be eating today:
PP Shake
Greek yogurt
ham and cheese or turkey and cheese
I just don't know why I am feeling like this, it's a new weird feeling.
Have a great day everyone!

I SOOO get it about sweets. Especially when I'm tired and stressed, all I want are sweets and healthy food just turns my stomach. Fortunately, I have recently found that some plain oatmeal or cottage cheese will often go down at those times.

I like sweets too and I don't dump so I try to stay far away from them. Today there was a ton of cookies left over from the ceremony and every time I walked through instead of grabbing a cookie I grabbed a small water bottle, that is a huge success.

Beth, you've had a big year and it is winding down. Your mind and body are probably just tired and need a rest. Drink lots of fluids to stay super hydrated and just nibble a few healthy foods. Get some good rest and hopefully in a few days, you can get back to a routine.
Hope your last day of 5th grade goes well!

Such good advice! I am 'end of the year' teacher tired today. The students are gone, the day is almost done and it is super quiet. Tomorrow I come into finish records and then I am officially off for the summer.

Morning all! Cool, pouring rain and totally miserable here this morning. All the way into wor****pt debating about whether to just turn around and go home. Really feeling stressed at home and at work right now and a rainy day with my head under the pillows sounds divine! For the moment I'm here at my desk but we'll see if any other options come up...lol!
Karen, I just have to say that you are such an inspiration. You remind me so much of Grim's advice to "be a machine". You stick with it and continue to be a true success!! Yeah for the Blues and kisses to Miss Lily!
QOTD: I don't follow sports alot or any particular team. DW & I always watch World Cup soccer and sometimes we'll watch whatever soccer game is on TV (the local Spanish channel carries alot of games). I also really love hockey but haven't been to a game in many years.
Accountability: I did have one pecan sandie cookie yesterday but kept it to one. I really appreciate all the support yesterday in encouraging me to stay away from the junk. Today is a new day and I'm going to try again.
