The windows 10 updates will make you crazy!! Yesterday, I was "stuck" for 45 minutes waiting fo IT to confirm the latest random window 10 error message was legit so I could click OK and move on.
I LOVE technology, except for all the times I don't!

The watermelon-feta salad sounds wonderful. Do you have a recipe?

Super easy, just cubed watermelon (drained a bit) tossed with feta crumbles (and I've used goat cheese too/instead if that what I had). I usual just do a little cracked black pepper and, if I have it, some basil on top.
the first time I had it, the restaurant did a basil-lime dressing that was delish, I just don't get that elaborate, lol. Could probably add some grilled chicken too for the protein boost!

Mornin' All!
I overdid it last night at the potluck/board meeting. I don't know how I resisted overeating for so long during the first year or two post-op. I must have had steel resolve. It's not that I blow it big time now - I don't binge and haven't in a long time - but it's so easy to make some bad choices and end up eating 200 or 300 or even 400 calories above my limit (and it doesn't take much to get up there - a couple of cookies, a piece of cake, a second helping of something). The easiest way for me not to do this is to just avoid these situations, but that's often not possible. Ugh. A lifelong battle. Anyway, today will be easier. I have my short story class in the morning and Mah Jongg this afternoon - and no food present at either. Plus I won't be at home sitting around bored, either. Should be a fairly easy day.
QOTD: peaches, corn on the cob, really good-tasting berries (as opposed to the tasteless winter ones), vine-ripened summer tomatoes (ditto!)
4 years out:
B: protein pancakes with 1/3 C Greek yogurt and 1/2 C apple compote, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake or bar
L: deli turkey slices or the other half of my Beyond Burger
AS: L&F yogurt with mango or raspberries, or raw veggies with ranch Greek yogurt
D: whichever option I don't eat at lunch
ex: walk and/or stationary bike
have a great day, all!
Yes, as we always say, WLS is on our stomachs and not our heads. It is truly a daily decision of what we put in our mouths. There are days it goes well and well...

Good morning, Karen and all!
It's supposed to be a beautiful day here in Maryland - 80 and not super high humidity just yet. Not that I have time to be outside with all the meetings and work I have to do today, but I decided to head to Costco after spin tonight and it's never fun to be loading my Costco haul in the car in the rain or in the oppressive humidity...
10 days until it's officially summer!
Edited to add QOTD: I love sweet corn! I have it maybe 3 times a summer. It's so delicious and sweet.
B: Iced coffee with half and half and sugar-free syrup followed by leftover crab and avocado. I had bought a rather inexpensive pound of crab from Giant and it was the only kind they had at the seafood counter and I wondered why it was $15 a pound when normally it's like $25. WELL, it's tiny pieces of crab (definitely not jumbo lump or even lump!) which are still delicious BUT there is a tiny piece of shell in almost every bite :( I broiled it last night with mayo and Old Bay.
L: More crab, the last of it. 5 oz per meal seems about right, so I get 3 meals out of it. I eat it with avocado mashed on the side, salted and peppered.
D: TBD - depends on my Costco haul! Once they had Mexican "street tacos" in the deli area and I hope they have them again.
E: Spin
I am back being vigilant about my vitamins. Traveling just really gets me off my game! But that is no excuse and I have to be better.
Have a great day, all!
