When does your hair stop falling out?
Does it ever stop? Lol. I have long thick curly hair....well I should say I had thick hair.....it's definitely thinned out since surgery. My hair has always fallen out here and there, but it has really started coming out lots within the last month or so. I knew it would happen and it doesn't really bother me all that much. It's just more annoying than anything having to clean gobs of hair out of my shower drain every night and picking loose hairs off of my clothes constantly. I can't even run my hands through my hair anymore without having hair coming out all over my hands.
How long does this hair loss thing last? 3 months? 6 months? A year? Forever?
Just curious.....Thanks!

It fell out for me for a month or two at 6/7 months out of surgery. I'm 18 months out now and happy to say I'm 1 haircut away to having my hair back to normal. With a little bit more curls. I tipped the housekeeper big time for those2 months to clean up all the hair.

My hair started thinning at three months and lasted for about five months. My roll-their-eye DDs nixed a faux-ponytail-plan to disguise loss of hair. A salon professional said to use NIOXIN shampoo/conditioner and postpone using very many hair products, like dye, until hair regrowth. I haven't used hair dye since!
Mine stopped falling out at around the 9 month mark. By a year out I could see lots of new growth.

Mine started around 6 months and lasted until over 12 months. I'm 2.5 years out now and still battling regrowth that doesn't go up with the rest of my hair!

I must be the odd one, my hair was fine until the last several months. I'm now 16 months post-op and my hairdresser commented you hair is much thinner than it was. It isn't visibly noticeable but definitely less in my pony tail or when I use a clip to put it up. Not much I can do about it, so I try not to dwell on it. Yes it is tiresome to find long hair everywhere, and I thought my cat was bad...

Mine started about 4 months in and went until about the year mark; about 9 months I started seeing all the regrowth start even though I was still losing. My hair is pretty much back to normal now (17 months out) but I'm now hyper aware of the normal hair loss and I never was before!
