Whats on your (Photo) Friday menu, RNYers?
Good morning! It's been a busy week. I'm shadowing/training a new skill at work. Ive decided that I want to pursue a department training position eventually, so I want to learn as much as I can about the different things our department does.
Im down 5 lbs since I decided to pull my head out of my butt and get back on track. Yay!
qotd: I saw a therapist when I was going through my divorce and dealing with PTSD issues related to that abusive situation. When I moved to Omaha I stopped, mostly just due to not wanting to shop for a new therapist. When I began the process of surgery approval the psych evaluation gave me the opportunity to do that, and I found someone that I I ended up seeing weekly for the first 6 months out of surgery and then I went down to monthly to "touch base," but I'm considering going back to weekly.
Breakfast: coffee, Greek L&F
lunch: I didn't look at the lunch menu for today, but the salad bar is always an option. They do pretty good at having good protein options though
dinner: I've been taking extra lunch to put in the fridge in the break room on my floor to have for dinner, since I work til 7. Keeps me from snacking all through those late hours and then I'm not coming home and eating dinner at 8:30.

We did, but we pulled them out when we re-did our front flower bed and gave them away. I wish I would have saved them, but at the time I didn't know where else I'd put them.

Me too. They are late this year by about ten days because of our late Spring, so I have been enjoying them this week vs. the normal Memorial Day weekend.

happy friday everyone!
I am so excited about this weekend, the weather forecast looks amazing and I think we are going to go to Brookfield zoo tomorrow...get some sunshine and walking and see some cute animals! maybe hit the beach on Sunday too!
QOTD: I do not see a therapist...I saw one a few times when i was in my teens and early 20's due to some family issues (my mom is an alcoholic and she attempted suicide when I was 15). I saw the psych at my bariatric surgeon's office pre-op for the eval but haven't seen anyone since surgery. I do periodically go to the group therapy meetings but nothing formal. I don't feel like I've needed them but I do tend to get Seasonal depression in winter...it was almost non-existent this year compared to previous years, but I am attributing that to the joy I felt from the weight loss so who knows how i'll feel next year or in the future. I am not opposed to seeing a therapist, I just haven't felt the need in a long time.
Morning: lots of coffee w/sf coffeemate
B: low carb banana bread, 12 cherries
L: leftover chicken tikka masala w/poblanos, peas and cauliflower rice
AS: L&F greek yogurt
D: DH is making personal pizza's on low carb wraps for dinner. I'm pretty excited...we haven't had pizza in a really long time!
ES: probably enlightened ice cream bar or mixed nuts
Pics: Story and I in our matching outfits last weekend, I got them from the CHILDREN's department LOL--I got them each for $5 on clearance so I kind of felt like i Had to do it...also I can wear a children's size XXL hahaha!
