Whats on your (Photo) Friday menu, RNYers?
Morning all! Again not sure if I'll hit post first but I'll get things started.
Another really busy week here trying to catch up after weeks+ of setting things aside to study, both at home and at work. I feel like I ran crazy all day every day and by last evening, I was exhausted. Hence the picture belong of me crashed in my recliner with Audie Cat keeping me company.
Today will be another stressful one on the home front. I'm working from home for a few hours and then taking DW to the gyno to follow up on a mass found during her recent physical. After having my own experience with a total abdominal hysterectomy Feb 2018, it is disturbing on several levels. That said, we are going to see the doctor who did mine and I like and trust him so that's good.
We don't have alot planned for this weekend but I'd like to go swimming at least once, I have a session with my therapist, more yard/garden work to do around heat and rain, and more cleaning around the house. So it will keep me busy.
QOTD: speaking of therapists, if you feel comfortable sharing, I'm wondering how many of you have seen or do see a therapist. I know that for many of us our weight was somehow related to eating our stress, boredom, etc. or hiding in food. As we all know, WLS only "fixes" our guts and not our mind and habits and to be successful longterm, it often takes addressing those other issues to live a healthy life. All of that to say that I do see my therapist regularly. I've been with her for a while but we do talk about a variety of issues including body image, dealing with stress, finding support, etc. I am really glad that I have her as part of my support system.

Good Morning Janet and Happy Friday! I hope everything goes smoothly for you today Janet and will keep you in my thoughts.
We took Max to the vet and they fixed him right up! He has to keep his bedazzled bandage on until tonight but he is going to be just fine.
DH is working a graduation tonight so I will do some chores around the house. We have a graduation party this weekend and really just need to rest and relax a little as our schedules have been super busy.
QOTD: I have never been to a therapist.
B: vanilla honey Greek yogurt
MS: hard-boiled egg
L: turkey burger
AS: hard-boiled egg
D: the last of the leftovers
There will be lots of water and crystal light peach tea today and all of my vitamins.
This first picture is of me and my co-teacher friend Jess on the school bus yesterday for our field trip. I seriously need to get my roots done!
This is a picture of our garden this morning before sunrise. I can't believe how much things have grown just in a few short weeks. We are watering it today because it has been so dry.
You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

Good morning menu friends! You beat me to it today,Janet. I slept in a bit and Miss Lily was ready to walk first thing this am so we already have our first 50 minutes of exercise in! Now it's time for coffee and accountability ! Yesterday was good both food and stepwise and weight is 122.8 today. I really wanted to snack while we were traveling last night but kept myself glued to the seat and out of the snack cupboard. QOTD not seeing a therapist now but did when I first went on disability years ago, when my youngest son was born, and for the first 2 years post weight loss surgery. I struggled with depression even as a teen and was hospitalized after my youngest was born because I was thinking about suicide. I keep a sharp eye on my mood and check in frequently with my therapist even now. I'd be back there in a minute if needed as I don't want to feel that hopeless ever again. She really helped with life issues and to find ways to cope with stress besides food. Lily and I will take another long walk this am and here's the food plan B 21/2 sm protein pancakes with sugar free syrup L 4 oz deli chicken and cheese D 4 oz of some protein from the freezerS if needed 100 cal hummus and 4 pretzels. Have a great day full of smart and conscious choices everyone!
Thanks for sharing your experience Karen. Life can be really hard and I am always proud of people who face the challenge and get help to work through things.
Also glad that you got to sleep in a bit and happy to start things when I can.
How are things in IN?
