Good morning, everybody. I'm so excited that it is peony season here! They are my favorite flower. Traditionally, they bloom on Memorial Day weekend but with our cold weather this year, they are just blooming now. We have some white ones in our yard and I saw a number of white and fuschia colored peonies in our neighbors' yards.
Speaking of things that are ephemeral, my Daughter's visit ends today and she returns to school in Waco this afternoon. The two weeks just flew by - first the wedding that we all went to in Minnesota and then her wisdom teeth which really knocked her out. I know she is excited to get back to her friends and routine, but I wish she would stay foremother week.
QOTD: I didn't seen so, I will answer yesterdays with a proclamation that I know nothing about syrups. Maybe I should give them a try though.
If Sheila is on today, does Lubiam have a good reputation in Italy? I got a jacket but was unfamiliar with the brand.

Good morning!
Today I have a team outing for work--every quarter we get to take 4 hours to go out on a team building kind of excursion. Today we're going to a taco place that has a large outdoor patio area with yard games. However, it's been raining nonstop, so I feel like it's going to turn into drinking margaritas indoors, which isn't really my thing, but I'll still go just to enjoy the company of my team.
I've been getting back into an exercise routine and really focusing on getting under 200. I've been stalled at the same weight for months, but I know it's because of choices I've been making and slipping back into old patterns. It doesn't help that DH is able to eat whatever he wants and still maintain or lose (he's just over 2 years out), so it's easy for me to go along and eat where/what he's eating. Last week I told him that I needed to put my foot down and get back to lean protein and non-starchy veggies, and if he wanted something different he was free to eat it away from me.
Breakfast: Greek L&F, coffee
lunch: Italian roasted chicken was on the menu
dinner: innards of a taco or two (I don't know how big they are, never been to this place before)

Stressful couple of days... stayed mostly on plan but need to be careful with everything that's going on... My mom was placed in a nursing home back in Nov. due to a stroke, unfortunately she's had 2 more in the last few weeks. They are pulling her out of rehab and physical therapy to start hospice on Thursday. Then to top that off, one of my bigger dogs went one of my smaller ones.
