Upper abdomen pain?

last night I had a little episode where right at the place my rib cage meets and radiating down the middle left of my abdomen I had spasms that hurt and made it hurt to take a deep breath. I thought maybe I drank to much?

Well its done it three times today and I've been on point with fluids. Makes me feel panicky.

is it gas pains? If I didn't have anxiety issues I wouldn't prob ask lol

I would suggest calling your surgeon's office and seeing if you can speak to a nurse. That's what they're there for!

well I did and she sent me to the ER. A cat scan, morphine shot later I am home. The pain got real bad so I agreed to go.

everything is fine...have more bruises and a dislike of morphine lol

It's not really possible to drink too much. Your new pouch is like a funnel and liquids pretty much go straight through. I'm glad to hear everything checked out well though!

Should a similar event happen again, some moist heat, and change of position (get up and down, walk a little), may be enough to release the spasm/gas, if that's what the problem is...

Usually, there is rarely a need to "panic", but unresolved PAIN, is always a reason for CONCERN. Do be sure to follow up, with your doctor's office, today, and let them know about the ER visit. Communication is key!!! (Old nurse, here)
