Good morning, everybody!
I hope that Melody is doing well in her recovery today. Day 2 was kind of rough for me. I got dehydrated towards the end of the liquid diet (Ironic, huh?), so after surgery my Creatinine went way up. Also, the Scolpamine patch made me unable to pee. At all.
The on call endocrinoligist came in with 6 medical students to see me. I was so out of it that (a) I didn't see the group of medical students that were 5 feet away from me, (b) misunderstood the instructions that the endocrinoligist gave me. They were doing the feeling test in my feet but I thought that she wanted me to indicate if she was squeezing my shoulder.
So I would pass out, and then they would brush my toes with those little wires while I was passed out. When I didn't do anything she would shake my shoulder to get my attention at which point I would raise my hand thinking I was passing with flying colors. It took a few rounds of this before I realized what was going on. The med students must have thought I had total loss of feeling in my feet.

Happy Thursday! Safe travel Karen! Good for your for learning where you needed to make changes and embracing the daily post to help you! You really do maximize your internal accountability and are a great example. My accountability goal today is to only eat what's on my plan.
today I jumped on work email before even getting out of bed, creating my own annoyance and frustration. I will not be doing that again (imuntil next time I do it, I am sure).

Good morning everyone~ Way to go, Karen!! Accountability is my key too. I'm not where I want to be, but I can't imagine where I'd be if I didn't come here everyday! This week started fast, but is slowing down now and I can't wait for tomorrow to be over. I am a little stressed about this and that, but it will all work itself out. We were supposed to go camping this weekend but we've reschedule for November because there is just too much going on for us all to get away. As excited as I was, I'm actually relieved.
