Good morning!
QOTD: I?m not much into sports.
It has been overcast here for several days as well. I?m not in an area that?s dealing with severe weather, thankfully. I?ve been enjoying the mildness by seizing the opportunity to get the weeds under control in the garden - they?re really prolific right now.
My partner had a recent cardiocath; the news was that the lung (pulmonary) pressure hadn?t come down yet. So now we wait three more months and then another cardiocath. We were hoping to get a spot on the transplant list before summer, but that?s not going to happen.
I?m getting very close to surgery. It?s a week from tomorrow. After seeing my glucose numbers (from the attempt on Monday), they are extending my liquid phase. I?ll be starting on Monday instead of Wednesday next week. My pre-op class is this Friday.
Breakfast: scramble (eggs, asparagus, yellow carrots, cheddar), coffee
Morning Snack: yogurt
Lunch: turkey/cheddar rollups with some sort of vegetable
Afternoon Snack: cottage cheese
Dinner: 4 oz chicken, brussel sprouts, carrots
Lots of broth & water today
Activity: walking and stairs

QOTD- Seahawks fan, Oregon Ducks Football fan, FEI Dressage & Show Jumping and sometimes the World Series of Poker, live horse racing (My horse came off the track). Not so much any of the other sports.
Struggling with the snacking demon, there are just too many things tempting me that I use to ignore. Now I can't seem to. I need to get back to logging everything.
3 weeks out from breast surgery and my body is still recovering and I've been pushing it too hard. I had to help a friend pack up his apartment, the toilet tank upstairs broke and was leaking for over 10 hours. The results were a collapsed ceiling in one bedroom, water leaked through both bedrooms, the bathroom and hallway. Now it is a mold and mildew festival and I can't even describe the smell other than it stinks. The apartments never even offered to move them out until the repair crew came in and said we can't do anything until everything is out. So they are in a motel, and they will be moved to another apartment today, but it is not ADA accessible and there is no ramp, so it's not really going to work. Did I mention I'm allergic to mold and mildew, so I only spent a total of about 5 hours there over 2 days and it made me dizzy and gave me dry throat. They had to stay in there for 9 days. So I guess I have no problems in comparison.
My only issue is the raccoon that keeps eating my strawberries. I've chased it off multiple times but it just looks at me so pathetically and I guess my heart isn't really in it and he knows. OK he is too cute, and not afraid of me and I am a terrible shot with a slingshot. Just trying to scare him away and it isn't working. I'm too much of a softy to hurt him, or let him be killed. I can't be the agent of his demise. So last night I was trying to put some chicken wire up, moving my old chicken fencing to enclose the strawberries, but ended up being exhausted and sore.
I had a recruiter that wanted to meet with me today, and I cancelled as I just don't have the time. Yes I want a new job, but this is the rut I know.
Need to be at the barn for my hay delivery at 4, so I'd better get back to work.
Have a great hump day everyone!
