Mornin' All -

rain again today - oh joy! They delivered the trusses for our upcoming screened porch yesterday. They're sitting in our backyard, covered with a tarp. Good sign - but I have no clue when they're going to be able to get started on this thing with all the rain we've had - and will have. Ugh.

I need to get a lot of things done today that I've been putting off. Given the weather forecast, there shouldn't be many distractions...

QOTD: Hockey. But only if I'm actually going to the game - I don'****ch sports on TV. Actually being there is half the fun!

Accountability was great yesterday, but down only half a pound this morning (I'm carrying around a lot of water weight, I think). I had deli turkey for dinner last night, though - that stuff has a scary amount of sodium in it. Tonight is sushi night - more of the same. I'm not expecting a big drop tomorrow due to it...but I will stay within my calorie range again today.

3 years 11 months out:

B: homemade coconut Greek yogurt with mango pieces, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: whipped/sweetened cottage cheese with raspberries

AS: light yogurt or protein pumpkin pie or raw veggies dipped in ranch Greek yogurt

D: sushi. I'll get the kind wrapped in lettuce again if they have it

have a great day, all!

I use a Smart Scale. Mine is the Garmin Index Smart Scale. It measures weight, BMI, muscle weight, bone density, fat content, and water weight. One of the things I find very interesting is the measurement of water weight. Often when my weight is up, my water weight number is down. It is interesting to track that.

I want to get something like that the next time I need a scale. I currently have a high-capacity one that goes up to something like 500 lbs, which at one time, I needed (well, not that I ever got up that high - but most scales stop at 300 lbs). It still works well, so I never got rid of it. Next time I'm in the market, though, I'm buying one that has all those things - or maybe I could just buy one regardless and unload the one I have on someone else...

Seeing the daily breakdown of my weight has been a life-changer for me. I purchased the scale as a Christmas present to myself in 2014, so have a record since then of all my weight ups and downs, including water weight fluctuations.

Good morning, everybody!

Well, i got to the end of my Celebrate, and sure enough there were three vitamins in the jar. Fortunately, I took Kelly's advice last month and stashed the extra vitamin so that I could retrieve it and match it up with the odd pair. Now, I am back in equilibrium.

Working from home today because I have a couple of doctors appointments in the afternoon. My daughter is home from college so I am joining her and Marilyn for breakfast.

85 Burpees.

QOTD: Undoubtedly, I have spent to much of my life watching others play sports. For me football is my favorite to watch even though I am a hockey season ticket holder. Marilyn is upstairs watching the French Open as I type this.

Breakfast: Frittata

Snack: Protein Bar

Lunch: Mahi burger

Snack: Light and Fit

Dinner: Leftover Steak Maybe

Have a great day, all.

The Cardinals have great fans. At one point they had outdrawn the yankees over a twenty year period, which is amazing considering the relative sizes of the two cities.

G'morning menu peeps!

Today is my daughter's 21st bday. My first reaction is I can't be that old to have a 21 year old kid. My second reaction is where did the time go? I know it's cliche but I remember when she came home, all those tiny milestones, awkward pre-teen years, even a couple of angst teenage years (I was a saint to put up with her), then she was gone to college. Now in college she has become this responsible adult that I am so proud of but miss so so so much.

QOTD: the only sports I watch on tv are the Olympics and soccer - known as football in the rest of the world- World Cup, which is every 4 years. Other than that I don't even know the local names of the teams. DH always shakes his head when I get our American football and baseball teams names mixed up.

Accountability : on point. Sugar detox continues.

My meals for the day:

  • Coffee, coffee, and more coffee
  • Turkey meatballs
  • Tuna + hb egg
  • Yogurt or parm cheese

Happy hump day!
