Good morning,
I had a great weekend, spent time with friends ,my dad and stepmom and my cats of course. Did some shopping for me and a baby shower I'm going to in two weekends.
Qotd I think people do too much over the holiday weekend and are extremely tired during the week and some have to cram 5 days of work into four days. Today my job will probably be the trying day since the kids are usually more tired from the weekend.
B ham and cheese omelette and sola bread
L tuna, cottage cheese and grapes
D chicken breast, asparagus and apple crisp
Have a good day
hey everyone, I am posting late today, was a busy morning as usual after a holiday...but it's slowed down some now so here I am!
I had a wonderful weekend...it was definitely not too busy and it was nice and relaxing. I spent the whole day Sunday with my friend Diane from high school who I havent seen in like 15 years, and we caught up and she "hired" me to be her stylist, so we went shopping and I made her try on like 100 outfits and styled clothes she already owned in new ways, etc. it was SO MUCH FUN! I swear to you, this is my calling. I have no idea how to turn this into a career or even a side income, but omg It would be a dream come true. She was an amazing student and she was super grateful and appreciative and thanked me about 10 times.
I did make a short video and posted it on youtube for anyone who's interested...she had RNY about 15 years ago and still has a hard time accepting her body and knowing what sizes and shapes she should be looking for, so it was super rewarding to help her!
We went to Sears yesterday to look for a new fridge since ours has been accumulating water in it for the past year or so and we can't seem to figure out why or fix it, it's definitely old and we really wanted a new one anyway...and since Memorial day weekend seems to be the official appliance sale weekend, we decided to make it happen. it will be delivered on Friday morning and I AM SO EXCITED...this is how I know I am old LOL! Friday is going to be a good day-- DH and I have tickets to see Eddie Izzard (after Jen alerted me he was touring I scooped these tickets up months ago!) and this coming weekend we have kids birthday parties both saturday and sunday LOL.
I ate too much yesterday at my parents' house, I knew I was doing it too, because I was full but I really wanted to try my sugar free strawberry dessert that I brought and so I got what I deserved and I ended up just feeling awful for about 2 hours. so far today, I've done great lol.
Morning: coffee w/sf coffeemate
B: low carb banana bread, 1 small kiwi, 1 small peach
L: turkey sausage & spaghetti squash w/broccoli
AS: string cheese & 12 cherries
D: DH is supposedly smoking country pork ribs tonight, with a cheesy sweet potato/cauliflower dish
ES: L&F greek yogurt

Awesome! I saw the sign for that when we were walking around this weekend - we don't see him until mid June.

Yea I know what you mean about getting old. I worked at colleges & universities for most of my career. I started feeling really old when I realized most of my thoughts involved things like re-roofing my house - whereas the students were probably more into things like bar hopping and getting laid. Ah....youth.
