Whats on your Sunday menu RNYers?
Good morning menu friends! Lily and I have our long walk in already in order to beat the heat later in the day. We will do 2 more walks later . Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday and weight is 123.2 today. Only plans for today is church in a bit. QOTD who is your favorite author mine is JA Jance. Food for today B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 ounces deli chicken with cheese slice D 4 oz ground beef with cheese no bun S if needed 2 oz pork rinds. Have a great day full of smart and conscious choices everyone! Time for coffee!
Good morning all!
went to urgent care yesterday to confirm upper respiratory infection due to allergies and got a z-pak and allergy shot. The shot must have been exactly what I needed-woke up for the first time in 3 weeks without a sinus headache and feel fantastic (still have a chest rattle and coughing)! Doctor doesn't think I'm absorbing regular OTC allergy meds so they weren't as effective at controlling my symptoms.
Im waking up in a Hard Rock hotel in my hometown--we came for a concert last night that didn't get over until after midnight and have another one tonight, but it won't go as late and we'll head home. I'm getting a pedicure with my mom today, and probably visiting my grandma in the nursing home.
Breakfast: going to check out the World Tour brunch buffet here. I realize buffets are a bit wasted on us now, but some family is meeting us here, so it's more about the experience. I'm planning on keeping it protein forward.
Lunch/dinner: due to late breakfast/brunch, we'll likely only have one later meal, and it sounds like DH is in love with my favorite taco place here too, so I think it will be fish tacos.

Mornin'!
yesterday was a glorious day - we walked around the zoo (hadn't been there in years!) and in the neighorhood surrounding it, then stopped at a cute local coffee place. I had a chai latte which I didn't need - but it was great. Today....??? Not sure, but I definitely need to do more walking. I'm also making yogurt and we'll be grilling tonight. I'm tempted just to do it on my stove (we have a gas stove with a grill in the center of the stovetop- and I also have a grill pan I can use on a burner instead - that is, if we want grill marks...). Our outdoor grills are all charcoal. I love the taste of food cooked on a charcoal grill, but it's such a mess to clean up. Oh well, we'll see... I bought some of those new-fangled plant-based "hamburgers" yesterday (Beyond Beef), and I'm really excited to grill them. Plus I bought some corn-on-the-cob, which I'll grill as well. I'm sure it was sent from far away and therefore not as good as locally grown, but if I make the Mexican version with chili lime powder, it might not be obvious.
QOTD: I'm not a fiction reader, so I'm not sure! Sadly, I don't think I've read any fiction in probably 10 years, believe it or not...

Good morning weekenders! So far it's been a cozy lazy morning. Since it's raining, no hike today. We are going to lunch and bowling this afternoon, should be fun. I saw Aladdin with my son yesterday and I thought it was great. I was so disappointed with Beauty and the Beast that I didn't have high hopes, but it was a lot of fun!
QOTD - my favorite has always been Jane Austin, but I'm more of a non-fiction reader in general.
Accountability - fresh cherries and too many almonds!
B-coffee and protein pancake
l-chicken breast and side salad or lettuce wrapped burger
d-BBQ chicken breast, asparagus
s-beef jerky
Have a wonderful weekend!

Good afternoon Karen! How warm is it where you are? We are about 75 today which is as warm as it has gotten this spring from what I understand. My DD was here visiting until mid-afternoon. We sorted through some boxes, she took a bunch of stuff for her new apartment, and some is staged for trash pickup.
QOTD: Probably Jodi Picoult. I am fond of JA Jance's books too.
3 years, 2 months post-op. About 15 pounds above desired weight range but still in normal BMI (had dropped about half of the 15 prior to SIL's diagnosis but gained it back - definitely a stress eater)
B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: crab cakes and Cole slaw
D: low-carb crustless pizza
S: sweetened cottage cheese
