Day 1 Post Surgery
Hi everyone.....I'm day one post surgery! I've been walking, drinking small sips of liquid, and I most likely will go home today. I'm experiencing a little discomfort in my stomach, like a little jab every so often, but nothing else. I'm tolerating water well, but the Gatorade 0 is not sitting well, makes me nauseous. I feel great, and I wanted to ask this question. I'm feeling pretty good now, will I feel this way at home, or will the pain take over?

I exercise to be fit, not skinny...I eat to nourish my body...and I always ignore the haters, doubters and unhealthy examples that were once feeding me. I am worth a lot more than I realize, and that is my daily motivation!
I never had much pain - I was really surprised by that! I remember the first few days having really sore abs that made it a challenge to get in and out of bed at times, but if I was just lying there - or sitting there - or standing there - then nope, no pain. I'd occasionally get some random stabbing thing the first couple of weeks that would last like ten seconds, but that's about it. Very easy recovery.
That's exactly how I feel. I have sore abs, and it's a bit difficult to get in and out of bed. I tolerate liquids well, as long as I'm sitting when I drink, not laying down. I do I do get a quick jab now and then, but overall I feel good.

Like others have said, my pain never got worse, only better each day. I think I was feeling back to 100% by day 6.

Thank you Haley, that's what I wanted to hear. I feel pretty good, just a little sore on the ribs. I've been tolerating liquids well, as long as I don't drink and lay down quickly, so I sit in my recliner for a while. Maybe I'll feel better by day six also.

I was a little sore, but that was about it pain wise. The main thing for me was that I felt really sick for awhile and had a hard time keeping anything down. But I think that's probably rare. Congrats on having your surgery and I hope you have a quick and smooth recovery!

Thank you! I'm trying to listen to my body as far as drinking goes so I don't get dehydrated. I can ge****er down and chamomile tea down, without any issues, but anything with sucralose gets me nauseated. I haven't thrown up, and I don't want to, so I've been watering down the stuff with sucralose.
