What is on your menu today (Tuesday) RNYers?
on 5/21/19 3:28 am - GTA, Ontario, Canada
Hey Protein Peeps, how are you all? What's everyone up to? I am off today, we have a funeral to go to. One of my husband's favourite uncles passed and the funeral is today. Its out of town so there will be a lot of driving to get there & back so I suspect it will be an all day thing which brings me to my QOTD.
QOTD: If you travel a lot or have a day like mine today where you will be away from your home or office what are you go to "travel" snacks or food? For me, I have meat sticks (Nick's sticks which are almost exactly like Chomps), cheese "Whisps" in asiago & pepper jack flavour and Kind bars. Kind bars are like dessert to me so I try to use them sparingly. And several large travel water bottles with water and SF cranberry juice.
Accountability: good except I had some unplanned yogurt & granola which is a decent choice as choices go but it put me over in calorie limit
TSS: 5 yrs + 6 mos
B: lots of coffee with 1 vanilla PP used as creamer & 2 egg omelette with salsa
L: meat sticks & cheese whisps (see above)
S: suspect there will be some sort of "tea" or "luncheon" at the Church after the funeral so if there is cheese or some veggie and dip will have that
D: 2 egg omelette & 2 slices of bacon
S: 6 "Skinny Dipped" almonds
E: 60min step class followed by 60 min muscle pump class
V: patches are on (multi, iron, calcium & Vit D) oral B12
L: 150oz is my daily target
Have an awesome day everyone

Daisy! Good to "see" you. I'm sorry for your and your DH's loss, hope the drive is easy and the day is as good as can be expected.
QOTD - I do travel a lot and keep a protein powder single, usually a meat stick and cheese with me. I'm usually flying vs driving so I treacle with an empty thermal to go cup so I can feed my coffee addiction! I do try to hit the local grocery as well for deli meat and L&F greek whenever possible.
accountability was good yesterday!
menu
coffee + half and half
b - L&F greek
l - 4 oz deli black pepper turkey, .8 oz cheddar
d - 4 oz pepperoni and cheese bites
ex - Pilates (and maybe snow shoveling depending on how much sticks)
have a terrific Tuesday!

Good morning, everybody. I froze playing golf yesterday and I am still trying to get warm. It was 53 and cloudy at noon when we got to the event and I don't think that it ever warmed up from there. The wind started blowing in the afternoon and it felt even colder. I was so glad to get back inside. I just saw on the news that its supposed to be back in the 80's tomorrow, so I just have to make it through the one day.
Last night I fell asleep in front of the TV while waiting for Marilyn to bring our daughter home from the airport. After being out in the cold all day, I came home, did my Burpees and was trying to stay warm and stay awake and it just didn't happen. Oh well, I will be able to talk to her tonight.
77 Burpees, passing the 3,000 mark.
QOTD: Bai water, jerky and protein bars.
Breakfast: Bratwurst
Snack: Protein bar
Lunch: Pork
Snack: Light and fit
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all.

G'morning Daisy and menu family,
It's always a great day when Miss Daisy is around (almost sounded like it's a great day when Mary Poppins is here)! LOL
Sorry Daisy, about your uncle in law.
Another day in the cold rainy temps. This weather is all weird for this time of year but we are rolling with it. Yesterday was so windy that when I took Luna for a walk around 6:00 pm she almost got airborne! It made me laugh so much because she was really fighting with all her 13 lbs against the wind and her hair was all blown back. At one point she looked back at me like this isn't working! We were the only brave ones out there.
QOTD: protein bars and epic chicken. Those cheese wisps are so good. I love them.
Accountability: 3 Oreo cookies, I had to buy them for a chocolate fudge I'm making for a gfs get together. I needed only 10 Oreos but can't find a box with only 10. It's my crack. Did you guys know I didn't know what an Oreo was until I came to the US in my mid-twenties? When DH introduced me to Oreos and showed me how I'm supposed to eat them I felt like I was in heaven. Sigh.
My meals for the day (it's a repeat because yesterday didn't get to eat what I had planned):
- Coffee, coffee, and more coffee
- Turkey meatballs
- Sausage links
- Yogurt or parm cheese
Happy Tue, everybody.

Travel snacks- baggy o'meat , cheese whisps or something like that, homemade trail mix portions, somersaults- the chocolate ones, apple, water, protein - either Premier or powder I don't mind just mixed with water. If I did jerky I can only do the soft ones- Turkey Perky brand, or Krave.
Have a good trip and hope it is a time of comfort and celebrating the life of your husband's uncle.
- Greek yogurt/protein coffee
- overnight oats and protein
- steak
- chicken and veggies tbd
- S: protein cantaloupe
Ex: Rest Day
Couldn't get to gym yesterday so did 5 sets:
20 squats and 60-count wall sit.

Good Morning! Daisy, so sorry for the loss in Arun's family. Big hugs to you both.
Accountability: I added a SF jello parfait with my lunch and swapped PB for my laughing cow cheese on my pita. No bars and no bedtime snack-now that I'm sticking to an egg or string cheese at that time I notice I don't "need" it.
QOTD: I like jerky, nuts or the P3 packs for on the go snacks.
TSS: 4 years 9 months
B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links
L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots
S: Pork rinds, boiled egg, and carbmaster cottage cheese
D: Shirataki oat fiber "noodles" (trying these for the first time. Hubby found them at Grocery Outlet and he really likes them) with Alfredo sauce, grilled chicken breast, sliced fruit, and 2 squares dark chocolate
ES: low carb pita with laughing cow wedge, Homemade Greek yogurt with SF syrup and ¼ cup fiber cereal
E: 5 mile run and 40 mins elliptical
V/W: On track
Totals: Cals:1322 Protein:143 Carbs:92 Fat:49
Have a great one!
morning friends!
I made it today but I am dragging...I swear I can't catch a break, I have another cold now and I just got over the last one right before I got diverticulitis! I basically can't smell or taste anything which you'd think would make me not care about food but I feel like all I want to do is eat right now...trying to make good choices so I have a few snacks to choose from.
QOTD: usually we pack meat sticks or jerky, also nuts, string cheese and protein bars if we are travelling.
Morning: lots of coffee, SF coffeemate
B: low carb banana bread slice, 1 small nectarine
L: chicken enchilada soup
AS: L&F greek yogurt, no sugar added applesauce, or 1 kiwi (options but prob won't eat all 3)
D: I think DH is making pork fried cauliflower rice
ES: Enlightened Ice cream bar or L&F greek yogurt
have a great day peeps!
