Morning all! I'm up and have been working diligently from home for almost 2 hours already. I'm at home because DW has an MRI this morning and I'm working around it.
So much of my news has been discouraging lately, but I had a big accomplishment last evening. I passed the quiz for the last chapter of my certificate manual and started in on the exam review section!!! My exam is 2 weeks from today, so no time to lose but it feels great that I've gotten through the material considering all that is happening in my life!
Edited to add: QOTD: I too love to be outside and garden. The activity and lifting are MUCH easier and I can work harder than I ever did before WLS. That said my life is so much busier now that I haven't done as much as I did before. I also love that I can be outside again to walk, run and hike. Certainly couldn't do that before. Also because I don't mind the heat as much (still am miserable in the humidity), I enjoy going on a picnic or just sitting outside. I really need that soon...just sitting and enjoying life!
Accountability: a sugar cookie happened. Not proud of that but the rest of the day was spot on.
Menu:
B: coffee w/ Miralax!! 2 oz TJ's ham, 1/2 cup of plain oatmeal w/ blueberries & 1TBSP of slivered almonds
S: iced coffee w/ Isopure C&C protein shake, maybe a chomps depending on how long we are at the MRI
L: planning on 2 TJ's chicken sausages, baby carrots
S: CarbMaster yogurt, 2 oz. turkey breast
D: HT stuffed tilapia (had it for dinner last night and it was really good!)
S: Lactaid cottage cheese w/ raspberries & blackberries
E: workout in the gym w/ my trainer this afternoon

Congrats! I am sure that is an amazing feeling of accomplishment with everything you are juggling. I echo your feelings on gardening. I just feel so peaceful and grounded outside, (well, until my allergies catch on, lol, but even then it is good to get my hands in the dirt. I have some seeds, soil and landscaping that needs to be done and I am looking forward to it.) Your menus always look really good IMO - 1 sugar is much different than pre surgery for most of us. I think you earned that ;)

Good morning Karen and menu peeps! Happy Wednesday!! The weekend can just be glimpsed on the horizon, lol.
qotd - I think my favorite thing last spring summer was trying new things. It's so much easier when you don't have to research weight limits, seat circumference and stuff like that. I'm looking forward to new things this summer too!
accountability - stayed on track, avoided all the dessert tables! They had cottage cheese with olive oil on it at breakfast yesterday (as well as the scrambled eggs with brisket). I def like the cinnamon raisin carbmaster cottage cheese better!
menu is a bit up in the air - half conference, half travel day
M1 - protein bar (I was up early and hungry)
M2 - eggs and bacon
m3 - possibly something at the airport, protein pack, nuts or cheese
Shouks be home in time to get ever roast chicken at the deli so may have some of that in the evening or a frozen light and fit.
have a fantastic Wednesday all!!
