Whats on your Monday menu RNYers?
Make sure you introduce them slowly just in case. Most cats will get along fine as long as you take your time with the introductions. We keep new cats in our guest room with the door closed for the first several days- up to a week - so they can get used to each other's scents. Then the next few days we crack the door a little several times a day so they can see each other. Once they don't react negatively, it's usually safe to open the doors and have them together. Some cats don't take this much time, some take longer. With your new one being a kitten, it may not take as long since she won't be a threat to Misty.
Good afternoon everyone,
Had a great weekend and figured out some things that helped me break my very slow weightloss lately. Unfortunately what I figured out is my body hates carbs. I almost ate low carb but I find that a little bit leads to alot. I'm amazed how low calorie, carb I need to be to lose weight. Thankful for figuring things out and being back on track.

Mornin'!
I had my appt with my plastic surgeon and am now at a coffee shop up the street. He pulled out those internal stiches that had popped out, so i should be able to start wearing compression garments again. I just hope i didn't lose too much time, but it hurt to have them on for more than a couple hours a day... they dug into those spots where the stitches were erupting, which got pretty painful!
Had a great weekend in Chicago. We're headed back home this afternoon

hey everyone...
I made it today, late as per usual lately, but I am filling in at the receptionist area at work today so it's been busy...
I had a nice mothers day weekend, had Story's dance recital and dinner at mom and dad's after.
Story has had a bit of a cold for a few days but was OK otherwise--but on the way home from her recital yesterday she started crying inconsolably about her throat hurting and wouldn't drink anything or even eat a popsicle (that's how I knew it wasn't nothing! she never turns down popsicles)...we gave her some motrin and she slept in the car on the way to my parents' house, then she was fine, she even ate a whole bratwurst...til she got up this morning and was feeling terrible again, so DH took her to the doctor this morning and she's got an ear infection. poor kiddo...my parents have her today so I am sure she is being pampered lol.
I have not been eating the greatest the past few days but I am still on this soft, low residue diet and trying to figure out how to get enough protein and also not get constipated because of it without all the fiber.
there have been far too many pretzels and animal crackers consumed...I have to be on this low residue diet til my antibiotics are done so I still have another week to go. I haven't gained and actually lost a lb, not going over calories but definitely too high on carbs and too low on protein.
Morning: coffee w/ SF carmel macchiato creamer
B: 1/2 C cottage cheese, no added sugar applesauce cup
L: low carb chicken enchilada
AS: L&F greek yogurt
D: no idea- I'll probably eat at my parents' house since I am going over there to pick up story after work.
Edited to add pics!
