First, just gotta tell you Beth, that your garden looks great and Max looks SO happy with his ball! Does he dig in the garden?
Well, it's almost 1pm and I'm just getting a chance to log on. I was up early and drove half way around the city for my first mammogram since PS. Now to wait and be sure that there isn't anything out of the ordinary. Then drove back around the city to go workout with my trainer for an hour, then back home and I'm trying to do some telework as long as I can. All of the driving, a hard workout and the stress of the week have me seriously burnt out but back up early in the morning for fasting bloodwork & an appointment with my therapist. All good stuff but I'd certainly rather spend some time being outside in the sunshine working in the yard or even better...taking a nap in the hammock!
QOTD: I've been given alot of advice over the years but nothing note worthy is coming to mind at the moment!!
Menu:
B: coffee, string cheese, 2 fig newtons
S: Carb Master yogurt, Protein shake after my workout
L: Lactaid cottage cheese, raspberries, slivered almonds
D: hoping for fish tacos!
E: 40 minute brisk walk, hour in the gym

Hey Janet! Max is so obsessed with his squeaky ball he doesn't bother the garden one bit. I love gardening it settles my mind.

Beth
hey everyone,
I'm posting late yet again, but I was super busy this morning making up for the work I missed by leaving early yesterday to go to the doctor.
He gave me some super strong antibiotics and put me on a low fiber liquid diet for 2 days, graduating to soft/low residue foods for a few days after that, til the antibiotics are done (10 days).
I am not really hungry because the antibiotics make me feel yucky but I am supposed to eat food with them which doesn't help since I am on liquids only. I do feel less fevery today at least but the abdominal pain is no joke.
QOTD: something my husband says to me all the time "what other people think of me is none of my business"...it's not always the easiest to follow, but it is good advice and basically true LOL...I have a hard time not caring about what others think about me but it really is none of my business and doesn't really matter most of the time.
small cup of coffee w/sf creamer this morning as to not disturb the guts too much...no protein shakes for a few days.
B: L&F greek yogurt (it's not really liquid but I needed something to take with my meds and doc said it was OK)
L: chicken broth, sf jello and sf pudding cup
AS: more yogurt maybe for my 3rd antibiotic of the day
D: probably more chicken broth, maybe some cottage cheese.
Have a fabulous weekend and mothers day everyone!

Hi all! It's 3 PM on the West coast, so another very late post from me. I'm about to dash out the door on errands, but wanted to check in.
Beth, your garden is huge! I find just the thought of all weeding daunting, but I am very impressed! Your strawberries look wonderful.
First: coffee - I was out so made a run to the store early on for some of that delish Peet's Major Dickason's, my preferred beans. Picked up a huge Starbuck's cold brew en route - I don't like the burnt quality of Starbucks, but their cold brew is so good. To me it tastes like dark chocolate.
B: turkey meat loaf
L: tuna
D: chicken, plus some plain nonfat Greek yogurt with blueberries.I
Happy Mother's Day to all of you mom who don't check in on the weekend.
Wishing you all a beauty of a day!
