What's on your Photo Friday menu, RNYers?
I agree, She has blessed me for 18 years. So hard to believe. Seems like yesterday, I met her. She looked just like her mother as a baby. LOL, she still does.

Yummmmm!!!! Strawberries. LOL when I was 4ish, we had strawberries and mom would send me out to pick strawberries. I, of course, picked one, ate one, picked one, ate one. Got horrible sores on my tongue. Mom took me to the doc who asked, "You wouldn't happen to have a strawberry patch, would you?" Still eat strawberries but am a little more careful.

Okay, addendum to accountability: I did eat one Reese's PB Mini, couldn't resist. It's tracked. According to MFP, it was 20 calories and I went over my sugar goal. sigh But, I have to say, it was so worth it.

Good morning everyone and happy Friday!! I am feeling exhausted and looking forward to a nice weekend. We will be celebrating my daughters birthday tomorrow. We are planning to bbq and make grilled chicken salad with watermelon. My hubby and I are going to hike on Sunday and just be together. Both my kids are working.
The past few weeks have been an emotional roller coaster. My daughter accepted a nursing job, started the job, put an offer in on a house. The inspection revealed major issues, so she pulled out of the deal. My daughter is really funny. She said the other day that buying a house is like planning a wedding. You think it's going to be so fun, but it's actually really stressful! They are going to rent for a year and re-evaluate. Her commute right now is 1 1/2 hours each way. I know it makes sense for her to move. I don't like her driving home at midnight by herself, especially after working a full shift. I am just going to miss her. Life is changing!
I also met with the new therapist. She has also had WLS. She isn't the girl for me. She is still overweight. Does not track anything she eats. Has the attitude that nothing is off limits. She also told me that WLS boards like Obesity Help are dangerous. She is still far from goal. She is very body positive, but I feel like she isn't what I need. I know what I need to do and I love this board!!
QOTD- My aunt used to say to me, To Thyne own self be true. The older I get, I really understand and appreciate this.
Accountability- keeping my head above water!
Food plan for today=
2 cups black coffee and my 40 oz of water before breakfast
2 eggs scrambled, 1/2 c. cottage cheese
4 oz shredded chicken with romaine and salsa
4 oz shredded chicken with romaine and salsa
Just 2 yogurt with 6 frozen blueberries
Lots of water. The weather has been heating up and I makes me feel puffy.
Looking forward to a walk tonight with my husband down by the river.
G'morning menu family!
Beth- that's not a garden, in my book that's a farm. Wow, so much work but also so much satisfaction.
Here we are on the brink of another Mother's day and I am super annoyed, just like every year. Because my MIL takes priority and we have to schedule the whole day around what she wants. She is an 85 year old woman in a walker so most probably we'll do brunch or lunch and then movies. But I wanna do something else. I know I'm acting like a brat, DH is a great husband and even a better son so he will not slide his mom. Anyway, this has been the way for the last 25 years and I guess it will be like this for many years to come. At least when DD was around she and I would do something fun on the Sat before Mother's day just for me. OK, whining is over.
QOTD: if the grass is greener on the other side, there's probably more manure there.
Accountability: good
My meals for the day:
- Coffee, coffee, and more coffee
- Eggwich
- Left over baked chicken parm
- Cauliflower stir fry rice & eggs (my version of Chinese fried rice)
I haven't posted a pic of Luna in a while. This is as big as she will get. 13 lbs and so sassy. She seems more like a toy sheltie than a regular sheltie.
Wishing all the moms, grandmas, stepmoms and any other mom version a very happy Mother's day.
