Jen
good morning and happy friday menu peeps!
I was happy to see some sunshine this morning after a whole week of waking up to rain and clouds. I don't know how long it will last but I hear it's supposed to get up to 70 this weekend which will be nice for my nephew's baptism and a little gathering after.
I am going to meet a new friend I met on a facebook mommy group a while ago on Sunday morning, she is an esthetician and makeup artist so she's going to do my makeup for the baptism...not that I really need any help but I am excited to get together in person and start doing things with more new friends...she has a son about Story's age and the last time we got together they really got along well.
I have a Dexa scan and Mammogram scheduled for tomorrow too...hopefully I will get some decent info from the Dexa...my preliminary bone scan showed some osteopenia but I may have already had that before the surgery...I am just hoping that doing the strength and toning workouts will help my bones too!
QOTD: I used to do things for anyone that asked without really questioning it...I was kind of a pushover and I have started learning when to say no lately...not that it's not good to do things for others, but sometimes I need to make sure my priorities are straight and that I'm not sacrificing my own mental health in order to do something for someone else that doesn't really appreciate it and wouldn't do the same for me. Obviously I am a mom and my daughter always comes first, so I live my life with her in mind most of the time.
Morning: Coffee w/ Half PP and SF hazelnut coffeemate
B: oatmeal w/Diced apples and 1 TBSp PBfit
L: turkey Italian sausage, kale and sweet potatoes
AS: L&F greek yogurt
D: leftovers of something- maybe the last of the chili or more of what I had for lunch!
Have a wonderful weekend my friends!
Pics: drawing from last weekend--Im trying to get back into the habit of doing something artistic at least once a week. Also, my outfit of the day today--something kind of weird, trying to style a super strange harem pant jumpsuit I got on Amazon.

I started this and then clicked out of it. However, here I go again. I'm a school-based speech pathologist (for just a short time more) and have had to be in state wide testing for the last several days. Can't drink water cuz once you're in, you can't come out. So my water consumption has been way down. I suppose I could try to make it up and night but ya know, I love doing that sleeping thing???
QOTD: I just generally try to be helpful. When I see a need, I do my best to address it. I sing in the choir and I hope that blesses someone since I can and do sing on key. (hoping this is someone with a sense of rhythm). I have several ministries I'm involved in. I find that prayer is helpful to many and I love to do that.
Accountability: Water, see above.
TSS: 18 months, almost 19. Where has the time gone. Seems like yesterday I was dressed and ready to go for surgery.
B: Cappucino smoothie
MS: Coffee with collagen and of course, more coffee
L: Turkey wrap, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers
AS #1: Weigh****cher Popped BBQ chips, Pork rinds (I didn't plan this snack well, at all)
AS #2: Built Protein Bar (caramel and so good)
S: Hamburger Steak with gravy & onions, butter beans, salad with tomatoes and SG Poppyseed dressing
ES: Quest Protein Bar (B'day cake) and Iced Protein Coffee (decaf), Decaf coffee with collagen
And of course, a few more cups of coffee although, probabably decaf

I've been MIA for awhile. Just didn't feel like I had anything positive to say. It's been a rough few weeks, work has blown up and I feel totally overwhelmed and disrespected. Add to that my upcoming surgery on Wednesday and my stress level has been through the roof. I haven't been eating properly and consuming wine to deal with the stress. I know this is just a bump in the road and I will get through it. I will feel better when it's in the rear view mirror.
I plan to take some extra time after the surgery to decompress. Maybe if someone else has to deal with my work they might appreciate me more? I doubt it but I don't feel any obligation to kill myself for the job like I have been doing. I wish I could say I can afford to be off work, because I can't but I also know money doesn't fix a broken body. I have 13 hours left of my yearly 40 hours of state mandated sick leave left, and the rest will just have to be unpaid. The downside of being a contractor. I've tried to get a permanent position, but there aren't many out there. After I recover from surgery I will try to concentrate on finding a new job.
Have a great Friday everyone!
