Well, bright, sun shiny and in the 80s here. Love it. Hopefully spring is here to stay and summer will stay away.

QOTD: My 40th birthday, I guess. Lordy, Lordy, Lynn's 40 My family hung black balloons and put a sign in the yard. I was ticked. I got to school the next day and all I heard was, "I hear you're 40." I wasn't happy about turning 40. Now I'm always happy to be turning another year older.

Accountability: Good, eating on track.

18 months since Bypass (I always forget to put that)

B: Breakast Burrito, Coffee with collagen and more coffee.

MS: Iced Protein Coffee

L: Ham Steak, Barley, Baby carrots

AS#!: 2 oz Jack's Extra Tender Beef Jerkey, Weigh****cher BBQ chips

AS #2: Built Protein Bar

Probably more coffee

S: Garlic & Mozzarella Chicken Sausage, Black beans with onions, California Medley

ES: Quest Protein Bar & Almonds, Coffee with Collagen

BTW: I do collagen for bone & joint health, have a good bit of arthritis everywhere. I started using it for another way to get protein in. Stopped using it and my joints screamed at me. Checked the benefits of collagen and found out it was good for bone and joint health, skin, hair and nails. I could do without the hair and nails, my hair grows astronomically fast, didn't lose a hair on my head after RNY and my nails grow fast too. Hair and nails apparently don't need help but the joints do.

Hello and late greetings to all of my RnY kindred!

I've been very busy work-wise lately, and my sleep schedule has been wonky. But the past few days have been gorgeous here - sunshine pouring down, blue sky, sparkling blue water. Cold still, though, and crisp even at midday. In the evening I wore tights, jeans, a cashmere sweater, my hooded, velvet-lined winter jacket, and tall Ugg boots, and I was still cold. I'm definitely not in Santa Barbara any more! This morning there was frost on the ground. I went for an early walk and the frost was so magical - tiny tiny stars, glittering everywhere. What a gorgeous planet we have been privileged to inherit!

QOTD: I've had wonderful birthdays. On my 26th birthday, my then-husband threw me a surprise party. But he had been acting so strangely for several days that I knew something was up. So I probed, and he confessed that though this was in the works (with all of our friends invited), he was utterly overwhelmed with the preparations and didn't have anything approaching a grip on the whole thing. So he made me promise not to out him, and I took over the party planning, including acting completely surprised. It was a great party, and it still amuses me to remember planning my own surprise. I wish I had a circle of friends like that here now! I'm going to have to work on that.

First: coffee with cream and SF, carb-free syrup. I start out with this extravagence, but subsequent cups are made with cashew milk.

B: some leftover meat loaf

L: Ham. Blueberries.

D: chicken. Maybe a little green salad.

Have a beautiful day, my friends!
