I actually googled Chiberia, not realizing Jim was playing with words.

Good Morning! Miss everyone. Figuring out my normal over here. Have my hands in so many things... we will see what will fly. #alltheparttimejobs

QOTD: I just did a presentation last night at the Hospital Bariatric support group. When the idea came to me the framework took about 15 minutes to outline. I am a PowerPoint novice so creating that took longer. My topic was WLS Is a Marathon- top 12 Mental tips for surviving a marathon.

I have done public speaking and teaching for a long time. I can always talk Mental Health and Homeschooling at the drop of a hat. I homeschooled my son. He graduated in 2005 so its ancient history...

Accountability: Yesterday's meals mostly got cancelled for protein shakes. I don't know why.

  • Protein coffee
  • overnight oats with protein
  • turkey and lite Swiss, grape tomatoes and sugar snap peas
  • Beef and broccoli
  • S: Pumpkin muffins, protein yogurt

ex: Gym day

I would love to sit and listen to your presentation, 'WLS Is a Marathon- top 12 Mental tips for surviving a marathon.' I really like the play on words. Weight loss is definitely a marathon, not a sprint.

Mornin' All!

I have been miserable the last couple of days with all this swelling (not that it hasn't been going on all along, but it's REALLY been driving me nuts the last couple of days - I guess because I'm starting to get tired of it. Unfortunately, it's going to be with me for quite a while longer!!). I think I'm getting an infection in one area, so I have a call in to the plastic surgeon. Hopefully they can just call in a prescription to a Walgreens up here so I don't have to go back down to Chicago again. They may advise me to go to an urgent care center up here - although I did snap a few pictures I can text or email them. Hopefully they can verify that it's an infection from the pics so I don't have to bother - but we'll see. Since antibiotics aren't addictive, maybe they'll be willing to take my word for it and just call in a script. I hope.

QOTD: I can definitely fill up an hour talking about WLS and my experiences with it since I do this every month in front of pre-op groups (I'm usually there with one or two others - but a couple of times I've been solo - but I never have trouble filling up the time!). I could probably also fill up an hour talking about off-beat travel ideas. Or definitely something on ethnic foods/cooking! Good question, btw!

3 years 10 months out:

B: homemade coconut Greek yogurt with mango, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake, more coffee with half & half

L: whipped & sweetened cottage cheese over 1/3 C protein oatmeal

AS: light yogurt

D: turkey chili
