What's on your Thursday menu RNY'ers?
Your FIT class sounds fun but also scary.

It is definitely one I will need to do a few times to feel comfortable but it was fun! I was expecting to be very sore today but it's not bad. It's amazing how much easier "recovery" from new things is now that I'm just more active doing new things. I worked out with a trainer 2x a week for years but it's obvious now I was just in a rut/not moving forward strength and ability wise.

It's also the fact that we commit to it more. I've had the same trainer for the last 10 years. She kept pushing but I wasn't doing the work. Nowadays I lead the charge. I keep asking for more difficult sets.
Also, I'm sure the fact of weighing less helps us move more and be less sore. Think about it, we were carrying more than 100 lbs while trying to do the darn workouts. I just mentioned that to my trainer, after having lost 120 lbs (she weighs 117) I had been carrying her on my shoulders trying to do the sets she would give me. I wanna see her doing that!
I am so proud of us!!!

You are absolutely right! The work out was a check box and it was pretty much the only time I was doing anything.
So much different now! Yay for healthy activity!!

G'morning Janet & Menu warriors!
Janet - I can totally relate to the sugar monster. Stay strong.
Where did the week go? I can't believe it's already Thu. I have a hair appt later today, which throws my day a little bit because I gotta squeeze it in between work schedule. I usually do the hair on Fridays when my schedule is more relaxed but somehow this time the hairdresser wasn't going to be in. I know it's a minor thing but I don't like it when my routine changes. I'm sure if Emily is reading this is giggling and thinking "there goes the OCD"!
QOTD: I take 2 bariatric advantage multi and 2 ba calcium a day. I'm too lazy to figure out the equivalent. At my last appt the bariatrician told me my D is too high (I don't take any extra) so we decided instead of taking two multi a day from bariatric advantage I take one and the other one is the chewable multi from Trader Joe's.
My meals for the day:
- TONS of coffee and tea
- Costco chicken skewer
- Turkey meatballs
- Yogurt & parm cheese
Happy jr Friday, everyone.
