Wishing you luck for the surgeon's office. I always think it's a great idea hiring WLS patients at the bariatric centers because we have gone through it and we know what's at stake. We can also empathize better with patients.

Been a good week. Haven't posted what I eat lately, just haven't had time to be honest. Really don't now but well, sometimes ya gotta do what you wanna do.

QOTD: I am religious about taking my vitamins. I got the pill organizer, alarms on my phone, etc. My multivitamin is Solaray Twice Daily High (something) and it has extra (as much as celebrate multivitamins, maybe a bit more) of everything. I get mine without Iron, of course. I take a combo of viactiv and Celebrate Calcium. (Veterans, let me know if this is a bad idea) I take a bariatric advantage (fumarate) which is 29g. I take Spring Valley (brand walmart carries) Vitamin D, 5000 units. I take the lowest dose vitamin B12. My levels were last done in October 2018, not sure if they will be done at my next appt. May ask to because I've changed up the multivitamin I take.

Accountability: I've been on target. Not sure about today more because of my eating routine being disturbed by state wide testing (school-based speech pathologist whose gonna retire this year). Can't hydrate cuz can't leave testing (about 3 hours), can't snack, can't drink coffee (I know, not required but coffee is vital). So I've planned but not sure how it will actually go. I made a smoothie for breakfast but then remembered, no, I can't drink all the things cuz of testing so I put the smoothie in the frig but don't know if I'll like it 8 hours old.

B: Boiled egg, Dannon's light n fit greek yogurt, key lime, coffee with collagen and another cup of coffee (after testing)

MS: Built Protein Bar

L: Salmon Patty (2.5 to 3 oz), 1.2 oz baby carrots, 1.5 oz of noodles (shiritake) with buttered basil

AS 1: Cappucino Smoothie

AS 2: Peanut Butter Wrap

S: Boneless, skinless thigh (2 to 3 oz), brussel sprouts (1.5 oz), brown rice (1.5 oz)

ES: Iced protein coffee & sardines in spring water

End day with another coffee (decaf) with collagen and there will probably be a cup or 2 more of coffee.

Calories: 1466 (will be more with coffee, I use 1 tsp of sugar free dairy free creamer), Pro 193g (yikes), Carbs 92g, Fat 45g, fiber 38g Macros: Pro 50%, Carbs 24%, fat 26% (Goal Pro 40%, Carbs 35%, fat 25% so fat was really the only thing on target, *sigh*) Of course, if I don't like the "old" smoothie which is probable, it will change. I really like being able to plan more.

Surgeon: Dr. David Carroll Surgery Date: 3/17/2017 Hospital: Merritt Health River Oaks Hospital

Height: 5'2" HW: 331 lbs SW: 279 lbs GW: 130 (originally, I changed to 140) CW: 130 to 135 ish

Biggest Goal: To Be Healthy in everything I do!!! To make healthy choices always!!! To just embrace HEALTH each and every day for the rest of my Life!!!

Celebrate Calcium is fine. Viactiv is not - it's calcium carbonate. We don't absorb that very well. You need calcium citrate. If you want a caramel chew kind of thing, then check online for Bariatric Advantage chews. Lots of places sell them - or you can probably get them from amazon.

Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 77, Calories 1,408, Carbs - 87.

B: 3 strips bacon, peanut butter banana bread, light & fit Greek yogurt

L: 170 calorie microwave meal, light & fit Greek yogurt

Happy Thursday all!! My first thought on waking was ?why isn?t it Friday yet?, lol.

qotd - I am taking two celebrate sublingual b-12 in the opening; centrum silver multi twice a day, alinwith my calcium (store brand, calcium citrate, 2 pills per dose) and then I take proferrin iron separately, twice a day.

Menu

b - cin raisin cottage cheese

s - crunch bar

l - going to a med place, I really want a falafel but I haven?t had falafel since surgery and I have a ton of meetings and back to back Pilates classes tonight so probably not going to try something new...so greek chicken skewers and veggies.

d -L&F

i have a Pilates jump class and then Pilates core and balance class.

the FIT class yesterday was fun ? new exercises including some crazy burpees ? start in a sumo squat, holding the bosu in front of you, soft side out, when you come up from the squat, lift the body over your head, then drop down into the burpe-plank (holding on to the bosu which is now soft side down and wobbley (or maybe that was just me)), hold plank for 5, and then pop back up to sumo squat. It was intense!

happy Thursday all!

edited to list the correct calcium
