Good morning! Happy Tuesday! I've got back to back meetings all day plus the plumber coming between 8-10 (they tried to turn on my sprinkler to put sod in the front yard and the pipe inside the house is spraying water, guess they must not have checked it at the January closing, lol).

QOTD - what's an exercise of activity that you would like to try this summer? I am going to get roller skates and a bike! Not roller blades, I don't think I have the balance for those.

menu

ALS (minus bagel) this is something the bagel shop used to make for us in the mornings --it was a toasted Asiago bagel, with slices of tomato, sliced turkey or chicken, topped with a slice of provolone and lemon pepper, toasted. l - left over Green Chile chicken casserole

d - L&F greek

s - chocolate PP warmed for hot chocolate

all the coffee and tea things

Mornin' All!

really blew it last night at the banquet, and my weight shows it this morning. If I can't start behaving myself at these things, I'm going to just quit going. I avoided certain engagements when I was early out because I couldn't trust myself and/or I knew there wasn't going to be "safe" food there, and I need to start doing that again. So today is going to be a light day, since I'll be in Chicago the next two days and at a girls' weekend for two days after that, which means I won't be in quite as much control over what foods are available. But today, I'll have total control.

I'm stressing out about porch and French door (that'll lead out to the porch) colors because evidently, they can't paint either to color match the trim on my house. A lot of these products are painted at the factory - and of course, none of their colors match my trim or even look decent against the siding color of my house. And I don't want to have to paint the whole damn house just because we're adding a porch. So we'll do the porch itself in white, since that goes with pretty much everything. Now I just have to find a French door color that'll compliment the siding and trim color of the house. I'm hoping Home Depot still has swatches of our house colors so I can take them over to the door place. There might be some color - something I may have never even thought of - that looks goes really well with the trim and siding colors, even if it doesn't match. At least I hope so. I guess worst case scenario, we can just have them stain the door rather than paint it.

So today I'll go to Home Depot to look for paint swatches and work on this reunion thing that's coming up in May. This evening a friend and I are going to hear Angela Davis speak on campus. Other than that...????

3 years 10 months out:

B: coffee with half & half, protein shake

MS: homemade coconut Greek yogurt with 1/3 mango

L: whipped & sweetened cottage cheese with raspberries

AS: something filling - a bowl of TJ's high fiber cereal or a couple of protein powder/peanut butter balls

D: I'll grab something on campus. Maybe just Greek yogurt or hummus with raw veggies

ex: all I can really do right now is walk, so I'll walk. I really need to get some exercise. Might be one reason my weight is up a bit - I haven't been able to exercise in almost three weeks - and I haven't done much walking, either, which I should!

My SIL leaves Florida for home today, but we have another month here. Yesterday was a gorgeous low humidity day and I think today will be the same. It would be nice if it was that way for the next month, but I'm sure the heat/humidity will increase again. But it is in the low 40's at home so I am happy not to be going back yet.

QOTD: I want to return to yoga when I get back home. I usually go 3 days a week there. Here I walk several miles a day but no yoga so my flexibility is suffering.

Accountability: Not good on day 15 of being on the meal plan wagon due to going out with SIL prior to her departure. Today is another day!

3 year post-op - post maintenance, trying to lose regain.

Always lots of coffee...

B: Eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Egg casserole

D: leftover chicken or Mahi Mahi

S: cottage cheese

Good Morning! Off to the races today...busy day with lots of meetings and trainings. But of course, my laptop needed a software update so I'll hop on here real quick while it reboots.

Accountability: I have started adding in an additional evening snack to my totals. This makes my numbers higher but real. I typically have a pita but didn't stop there most nights. I am hoping planning it/seeing it helps my brain stop there. No bars day 2.

TSS: 4 years 8 months

B: SF latte, Eggbeaters and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore lettuce wraps, and baby carrots

S: Graze sriracha crunch box and carbmaster yogurt

D: BBQ chicken pizza (Mikey's pizza crust, canned chicken, cheese and Walden Farms BBQ sauce, sliced fruit, and 2 squares dark chocolate

ES: Low carb pita with SF jam and peanut butter, Homemade Greek yogurt with SF syrup and ¼ cup fiber cereal

E: An hour stair climber and 30 mins of elliptical

V/W: On track

Good day Everyone. It looks like everyone is busy this morning/lately in their own way.

QOTD - I keep saying I would like to start yoga but it has been a challenge just to get my steps in using the treadmill at a pretty slow pace compared to some others who are more fit than I am. It helps my pain and fibro though so I know I want to be consistent with that but I also know that yoga has different health benefits I want to add. As much as I want to be outdoors more my allergies seem to get worse the older I get so realistically, yoga indoors really needs to be my focus and getting outside in nature more would be great too.

Accountability/Food - Honestly I don't know what I will be doing today. I have had coffee with SF creamer and at some point I know I need to eat something. I plan to cook some eggs in the IP and I have greek yogurt. I had oatmeal yesterday but it left me feeling really off and I can't afford to feel that way again today. I need to focus on reaching my fluids too. After a week of not getting on the treadmill I got back on it today despite 2 of my kids being sick. It felt like an accomplishment as I haven't been making the most nourishing food choices and the shame cycle between that and not moving/exercising was getting me feeling really down. Sometimes making even small positive choices feels like such a huge thing.

I enjoy reading all of your posts. Have a great rest of the day Everyone

water

veggies

Good morning - its a wet rainy morning, but should clear up soon. I have a weather headache and I'm trying to drink more water, but I really just want more coffee!

QOTD - I'm with you Jen - just say no to roller blades! But I'm also gonna say no to roller skates too, I've got injury fear - I like my knees, hips, wrists and teeth just the way they are! We are planning on getting bikes this year, but we said that last year... I would love to finally kayak - I think I also said this last year. I suck at this question!

Accountability - awesome

b- coffee x 5 - yes, 2 HB eggs

l-albacore tuna w/mayo+balsamic vinegar

d-eggbeaters w/canadian bacon

s - beef jerky

We all got bikes last far on a mixture of craigslist and our neighbors across the street who noticed us on bikes and said they wanted to sell theirs - and theirs were cruisers, which is exactly what we wanted! So now we have more bikes than people! It's so fun, I hope you find some!

I'm gonna make it happen this year! I've been wanting one for years, really. As long as it's a comfortable ride with a a big butt seat I'm good!
