YES!!!!! So happy! DS and DH don'****ch but are fully aware they are dead to me during this time. I think they are even scared of me during this sacred hour, haha!

I'll have to look for that cottage cheese - it sounds great!

I tried it at Kelly's recommendation, it's so good! Kind of tastes like rice pudding to me. They also had peach, strawberry-rhubarb too

Finally watched GOT - wasn't able to watch it until last night and had recorded the LONG anticipated return of this season lol. It is too bad that it is such a short season.

It had been so long...but now the episodes will go by too fast, lol!

I had a nice weekend...despite all the snow yesterday.
Saturday, we got out and found an awesome couch at a local thrift store for $125. It's literally in perfect condition, it doesn't even look/feel/smell like it was ever used! It's a dark brown faux leather couch (perfect for the kid/dog/cat situation) but it literally just BARELY fit up our stairs! LOL...I had to frantically go to the neighbor's door and beg the young man and his friend to come help us move it. There was no way I was going to be able to help DH get that thing through the stairwell without their help. We went and bought them a case of beer and some snacks afterwards to thank them...but it got IN! LOL.

Guys, I got myself an Instant Pot and now there is no going back! I am totally hooked...I've used it the past 2 days in a row and I already don't know how I lived without it for this long. hahaha.

Yesterday, it snowed. A lot. all day.
it's all wet snow and heavy and gross and I can't wait for it to melt. it's really pretty but its APRIL!

I took Story to my sister's house and we dyed eggs for Easter with the kids and I painted all the girls' nails.

QOTD: Although I consider myself more of a Pagan, I grew up in an Irish Catholic family, and we always celebrated the Christian holidays...so for me, it's more of a tradition thing than a religious thing, but we do all the fun Easter stuff...we saw the Easter bunny a couple weeks ago, dyed eggs yesterday and my sister and I usually do a little egg hunt for the kids in the yard on Easter Sunday. I make an Easter basket for Story to find on Easter morning, and we've always had a big Easter dinner. Since my parents are in Az til the first week in May, we're just having it at my sister's house with my siblings and our families...they're cooking some meats in the smoker and the rest of us are bringing side dishes.

Morning: coffee w/1/4 Caramel PP as creamer
B: 1/4C cottage cheese & 2 HB eggs w/TJ's EBB seasoning (I will be eating HB eggs for a while I think, we dyed 3 dozen and my sister and I each took half. DH does not eat them LOL)
L: creamy Turkey Italian sausage & tomato soup
AS: kiwi
D: leftover seafood gumbo
ES: L&F greek yogurt

I love my IP, particularly for faux Starbucks egg bites!

I will never cook eggs the same way again. LOVE my IP! I have the insert for the egg bites but I haven't made them yet. I am sure the kids would devour them

Has anybody heard from Daisy after her dad's surgery? I hope he is OK and Daisy is OK too.

Weekend was good, but food wise I was meh! DH's friend spent the whole Sat with us so it was eating out both lunch and dinner. I acted like I had never had WLS. Chips and salsa. Sushi with rice. Even DH was surprised I was eating stuff I would never touch. I don't know what was going on in my head. But I reined it in on Sun. When these things happen I always come back to what they told us during the seminars "surgery is done on your stomach and not your head." When the head is playing games everything goes haywire.

QOTD: we do the whole shabang. Dying eggs. Easter egg hunt. Easter lunch. DS asked if he has to do the hunt (he is 17) and I told him if he wants what's in the eggs he needs to find them. I love shopping for little things that go in the eggs. I am also preparing a care package for DD to send it to her by tomorrow this way she'll have it by this weekend.
