What's on your Monday menu, RNYers?
I was determined to get on here today. So many times I write half a post and never get back to fini****
Yesterday was rough, I had a bad asthma attack attack, had to take more meds than usual to get it under control... which leaves you this weird combination of lethargic mentally and wired at the same time. I grazed in the afternoon- just could not feel satisfied. Then was full rest of day.... had just a Premier at night even though I wasn't hungry because I felt it would be too many hours for my BS if I went to sleep after last eating at 4PM.
QOTD: Do celebrate Easter. My sister is coming from Arizona for a week. Her birthday actually falls on Easter this year. No particular traditions- just celebrating life in the Resurrection, enjoying church and family.
- Protein coffee
- Overnight oats and protein
- spinach frittata
- shrimp and zucchini
- S: protein, cantaloupe, and ??
EX: this is my active recovery day. Either yoga or a short HIIT conditioning session. I did not forget the request about the burpees.. just haven't gotten to it.

Good morning! Happy Monday and it's a new week. We had a pretty uneventful weekend and I'm ready for a busy week with meetings and setting up some interviews in between.
Accountability: I did well last night, Saturday night wasn't ideal.
QOTD: We usually go to church and then spend some time with my MIL in the afternoon. We haven't decided on a plan for this year yet.
TSS: 4 years 8 months
B: SF latte, Eggbeaters and 2 turkey sausage links
L: Albacore lettuce wraps, and baby carrots
S: Tumaros garden veggie wrap, budding turkey pack, and carbmaster cottage cheese
D: BBQ chicken pizza (Mikey's pizza crust, canned chicken, cheese and Walden Farms BBQ sauce, sliced fruit, and 2 squares dark chocolate
ES: Low carb pita with SF jam and peanut butter, Homemade Greek yogurt with SF syrup and ¼ cup fiber cereal
E: An hour stair climber and 30 mins of elliptical
V/W: On track
Totals: Cals:1536 Protein:141 Carbs:106 Fat:68
Have a great one!
Good morning all! I'm skipping the gym today because after two days bending, lifting, squatting, and putting in over 10000 steps both days just putzing around the garden, I'm super sore this morning! Doing stretches at home instead.
Qotd: I grew up celebrating Easter, but now as an adult I don't quite as much. My family gets together for a cookout, but I only go if I haven't been home for a visit in a while
I've decided to stop worrying about dinners and just having a yogurt or protein shake at home at the end of my day instead. I'm not off wor****il 7, and go to bed around 10:30, and feel like eating around 8 isn't something I'm a fan of. So I think I'll eat a decent breakfast, work provides lunch, and we have healthy snacks in our break rooms. So my planned menu looks something like this:
Breakfast: 1 scrambled egg and 2 sausage links
coffee
lunch: I didn't check the menu for today, but I'll either do the protein and vegetable options (they're usually decent) or a salad bar with added chicken
snack: string cheese or veggie cup with hummus
dinner: Greek L&F or protein shake

what type of yogurt do you like best? I am finding late in the day it is often lit and fit greek yogurt. Sometimes I can add a few nuts and berries but often it is just the yogurt that sits okay. I sometimes miss being able to eat what I want but I can't unring that bell, lol.
it kind of depends on how hungry I am and how many calories I have left. If I'm not too hungry and I don't have many calories left to "spend", then Fit & Light. Sometimes I'll just eat it plain or maybe with some high fiber cereal sprinkled on the top. Or sometimes I'll take a thing of vanilla-flavored F&L, mix in 1/2 T of unsweetened cocoa powder, and throw a few raspberries on top (for a dessert-y kind of thing).
if I'm hungrier and have enough calories, I'll either eat my homemade Greek yogurt or have some Chobani (2% or full fat). If my own, I'll usually put some homemade fruit compote on top.
