What's on you Sunday menu, RNY'ers?
Hello menu friends. I hope everyone is having a good weekend. Mother nature has been very hard on northern Minnesota this year! We got another 10-12 inches of snow Thursday night. Some has melted and I finally got out on a good walk followed by a bike ride yesterday. I finally broke the 100lb mark earlier this week and that was a big mental milestone! I was stuck at 99 for a few days. Lol!
QOTD- I would bring my wife, my dog and a fishing pole.
B-scrambled egg and turkey sausage.
L-isopure shake
D--mini meatloaf and going to try my first salad since surgery.
Have a good week.
So last night I had steak for the first time since surgery and it sat well with me thankfully! We all went out to celebrate my brothers birthday and he chose a steakhouse and I won't lie, I was a little nervous at first, but luckily everything I've eaten thus far has sat well with me. I ordered the smallest steak they had and still was only able to eat less than half of it. I was good and didn't have any of the hot bread they served even though it smelled so good and my mom tried to get me to take just a bite. But I know myself and I wouldn't be able to take just one bite so I refused. It was also my first time eating steamed broccoli since my surgery which also sat well and was sooo delicious!!
B: premier chocolate shake
L: Either leftover soup, some deli meat or Greek yogurt
S: If I'm hungry a few carrot sticks with cheese.
D: Leftover steak and steamed broccoli
Surgery: RNY on 1/23/19
18 replies on a Sunday is awesome! Or its already Monday and I'm 4 hours late for work.
We are calling it "wintery mix" because nobody wants to admit that its snowing. But as of now we have about three and a half inches of wintery mix covering everything, including the big pile of mulch that we just had delivered yesterday and all of the yard areas to which such mulch was supposed to be spread today. Even if the wintery mix melts tomorrow this probably means that the mulch won't be spread for awhile because I am going to be traveling next week.
Ideally, my two teenagers (and their sister who will be visiting this week) would spread the mulch, but teenagers.
40 Burpees.
QOTD: Sunscreen, toothpaste and Julie Bowen
Breakfast: Protein bar
Snack: Gouda and ham
Lunch: Cod
Snack: Light and Fit
Dinner: leftover Cod
Have a great day, all.

Good day. My back felt much, much better this morning. So thankful. I even did 30 minutes on my stationary bike and 40 minutes of strength exercising. I did lunges, squats, push-ups, planks and a bunch of others and my back was sore afterward but not horribly painful. So happy and hope it stays that way.
QOTD: I would bring books, one to read for fun, one to read for information on how to survive on a deserted island and a bunch of protein bars (sorry, since they are all the same thing, I should be able to count them as one) I debated on my cell phone just in case I had a smidge of cellphone service but I figured, if it was truly deserted, I probably wouldn't have service???
Accountability: So far, so good. The few bites of creme brulee I had last night at the Seni Supper don't seem to be having any ill effects as far as increasing my cravings. Yay!!!
