Mornin' Weekenders!

I'm propped up in bed feeling like the Michelin man again. I forgot how bad the swelling is the first couple of months after plastic surgery. Ugh. Although in the end, it'll all be worth it! (I still swell occasionally from the LBL I had back in August, but not as often or as badly as this. The first couple months is definitely the worst!).

my weight was up a notch this morning. I've overdone it a bit the last couple of days (restaurant eating), but I think a lot of it is this swelling. However, I really need to watch it this week since I'll be navigating a minefield again (banquet tomorrow night, lunch with friends on Wednesday, in Chicago Wednesday afternoon through Friday, and the a girls' weekend next weekend). I'm looking forward to having a lot going on since the last two weeks haven't involved a lot of outside activities, but the food thing will be a challenge.

QOTD: can anyone think of one?

3 years 10 months out:

B: homemade coconut Greek yogurt with 1/3 mango, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: protein pancakes with 1/3 C plain Greek yogurt and homemade blueberry/blackberry compote

Good morning! I guess I was lucky that after my PS (not as extensive) I had minimal swelling.

QOTD: What three items would you take with you on a deserted island? I would take Justice, a book, and a container to collec****er in. It would have to be a BIG, excellent book. I'll have to assume we could catch fish or other sustenance on the island.

Accountability: Good on day 13 of being on the meal plan wagon (after a couple of bumps on Thursday and Friday)

3 year post-op - post maintenance, trying to lose regain.

Always lots of coffee...

B: Eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: breakfast casserole (maybe I should call it a lunch casserole, LOL)

D: undetermined, maybe shrimp if home - some type of fish if out

S: cottage cheese

Hubby made a batch of protein pancakes for me yesterday. I had 1 for lunch and froze the others. They were very yummy! A new food idea I think!

I love protein pancakes!! I got the idea right here on the menu thread and started experimenting with recipes a couple of months ago. They're great and very filling!

I have been making a cinnamon ricotta pancake I found on egg faces blog

Ricotta Pancakes

1/2 cup Ricotta Cheese
1 Egg, beaten
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Tablespoon Sugar-Free Torani Syrup (Sugar-Free Vanilla, Caramel or Brown Sugar Cinnamon)
3 Tablespoons Multigrain Pancake Mix

Mix all ingredients together. I use whole milk ricotta, if you use part skim, drain first. Spray pan with non-stick spray. Spoon a dollop of the mixture into pan and pat flat. You'll want some bigger circles and some smaller for your snowman or snowwoman's head. Cook on low till golden, flip, pat flat, cook till done

Happy Sunday everyone!

i had my youngest sisters baby shower yesterday, it was fun. I had the brilliant idea to bring my camera so I took pictures and got out of the games! Winning!

today is some chores around the house and movie day with mom. She hasn?t seen Black Panther or Avengers Infinity War so that?s the watch list.

qotd - I would bring my kindle, a giant umbrella and Something to escape with! Can it be a PNW rocky-forestry type island because I hate sand.

accountability - I had half of a mini Boston cream pie cupcake. It was delicious. I also had a bunch of baby carrots. I was low on water yesterday because it was four plus hours at the shower and I didn?t drink during it.

menu today

b - cin raisin cottage cheese

l - chicken green Chile casserole

d - tbd

s- l&f greek

have a great day
