Marilyn may have picked those vegetables. She was UMass 89 and I was UMass 88. She definitely remembered roller skating in the Hampshire Mall, LOL.

The mall that I went to as a kid ended up in Paul Blart Mall Cop.

That mall was everything back then! You guys were just a year or two ahead of me. We moved to CA after I graduated HS in '86. My dad (as a kid) and brother years later picked tobacco in Hadley. My sister bagged onions there, too. I picked cucumbers in Hamp for less than $3 an hour. Life sure was different then! I can't imagine kids these days doing anything like that.

I think i only put it on facebook and not here but last weekend, I went into a bookstore and they had sections of books organized by COLOR.....it was madness.

There was a bookstore here that sold books by the inch -- for people who wanted to fill shelves, but were never going to read any of them.

They offered paperback, hardcover, and leather bound, for the true bibliophiles.

I never can understand that, plus I see these home improvement shows where they turn the cover to the wall??? Obviously they don't read.

I never understand why they turn the spines to the wall. It looks ridiculous.
