Good morning folks! We've made it to Friday!!

I did pretty well with my goals yesterday. I did end up having an extra 10 oz cup of coffee (it WAS free after all!) but I got in 80 oz of plain water plus all of my other non-caffeinated fluids for at least 200 oz. It really helps me to feel healthier. I also didn't have any donuts, muffins, cookies or cake. I did however have an after dinner waffle with PB. I also ended up going for a run down the Mall at lunch (see evidence below). Lots of teenagers crowding the sidewalks so it wasn't relaxing but still nice to be out.

Today I am working at home so it should be more relaxed but I'll end the day with a couple of hours of OT so it will be a long one.

QOTD: This was National Library Week. A shout out to catwoman and the other librarians in the group! So some library questions. Do you read much? Is it all work related? Fiction vs non-fiction? Do you read on an electronic device or do you prefer paper? Do you ever go to the brick & mortar library and check out books or use their resources onsite? Just curious!

Well, I am a lifelong reader and love print books. Part of my current job is processing both electronic works (including books, computer programs, websites, etc.) and print books, but when I come home I read on my tablet for the most part. We do still have several large bookshelves in the living room stacked with books, partly because I LIKE them and partly because there are some genres that I prefer print to electronic (cookbooks, crafts, history). DW & I went to our local public library last night so she could get out of the house in a "safe" space. I'm hoping that she might be willing to go regularly and even participate in some of the activities.

Have a great day folks!

Morning! We made it to Friday!

QOTD: Do you read much? Yes, all the time. About 35-40 books per year between paper and Audible.

Is it all work related? Nope, not much of it is.

Fiction vs non-fiction? More fiction than non-fiction, but I read both. I really like historical fiction and then I also recently read Educated by Tara Westover and loved that.

Do you read on an electronic device or do you prefer paper? I don't read on my Kindle pretty much at all. I do, however, listen to a ton of Audible books (about 2 per month).

Do you ever go to the brick & mortar library and check out books or use their resources onsite? Yes! We have an amazing library here in Chapel Hill.

  • Eggs w/ Cheese & Avocado

Good morning! Today it will be 90, so we are going to the beach.

QOTD: Reading has always been my favorite form of relaxation, escape and critical to me since I first learned. I didn't read early but learned quickly. When I was in first grade, I surpassed the readers we were supposed to use so the teacher had me read books to kindergarteners which I thought was punishment (LOL). I mostly read fiction because that is how I escape when needed. And essentially always on my kindle which I fell in love with when they first came out. I loved it even more when the paperwhite came out because I have to read prior to falling asleep and need to have all the lights out other than the booklight.

Accountability: One word: pizza. Argh...

LOL! Thank you Karen! He was sitting in my lap and I used my iPad camera in a somewhat contortionist manner.

I can't believe you got the picture after "contortioning". Neither one of my dogs would have still been on my lap and the dachshund would have given me dirty looks.
