What's on your Monday menu, RNYers?
mornin all!
I'm in chicago in the hotel breakfast room typing on my phone, which is frusrating (the phone, that is... not being in chicago!)! We'll leave for the hospital in about a half hour so i can check in with the plastic surgeon - hopefully just for peace of mind, but who knows.
QOTD: we're inside much more than i would like. I love lounging around next to water in the summer, so i'm going to make myself do more of that this year. Also, with any luck, our screened porch should be done sometime in june, so i hope to spend a lot of mornings and evenings out there!
3 years 10 months out:
B: Greek yogurt, coffee with half and half

Happy Monday all! Hope this is a great week for everyone!
Qotd - I love to be out on the patio or outside but I also burn if I think about the sun so I'm always in the shade or the woman walking around in the giant hat with neck protector. People occasionally point and laugh but it works for me! I hate sunburns.

s - chobani
d - 3 oz ground beef patty, 1 slice cheese

Morning! It's going to be a challenging week to manage my time. I have workshops to attend Monday-Thursday all day, but also need to run and get to a doctor's appointment and also to our pre-drywall meeting for our house building.
QOTD: I enjoy being outside a lot. I don't find the heat or humidity bothersome when you have the option to go back into the A/C at any given time. I like to run and hike, and also just to sit by the pool and lounge.
Trying out meal prepping this week.
My Food:
- Coffee w/ Cream x2
- Cheese & Spinach Low-carb waffle topped with a fried egg
- Sweet Potato Hash Tacos w/ Avocado Crema
- Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs and Asparagus
- Power Crunch Bar, Apple w/ PB

Good morning! My weekend was spent doing projects for the garden, and planning what I'll be doing next week to prepare and get things ready.
accountability: there was pizza Saturday night and a slice of cinnamon streusel bread yesterday. Consequentially, my weight is up two lbs, so this week I'm focusing on drinking water and eliminating carbs that have been creeping in due to laziness, easy access to free snacks at work, and a general "eff it" attitude lately. I suppose this is diet fatigue, but I'm nowhere near my goal so it's unacceptable.
Qotd: I always liked being outside for gardening, but I enjoy it more at a lower weight for sure! The hot humid summers don't bother me nearly as much as before. I used to stay indoors on the hottest days and now I'm out in the garden without much more thought.
Breakfast: slim fast advanced nutrition in caramel latte
lunch: I'll hit up the salad bar today and add chicken
dinner: turkey meatballs and asparagus

Good Day, All,
This weekend was jammed packed with activities from sun-up to sun-down. Friday night we went to Lancaster to buy the seeds for our garden. The garden has been plowed, cultivated and tilled. Next step is planting. Saturday we spent the day working in the yard or playing with Max outside. Sunday we went to my MILs to work in her yard. DH smoked brisket yesterday and the rest of the afternoon we spent relaxing outside in the warm weather.
QOTD: I love being outside. I always have heavier or thinner. It's definitely easier now that I am not carrying an extra 100 pounds around.
TSS: 1 year 3-months weight 161 pounds
B: PP chocolate shake and a hard-boiled egg
L: brisket with roasted veggies
D: steak tacos (brisket) with mexi-cauliflower rice and seasoned black beans
Lots of water and all vitamins. Have a great day!

How is Max settling in and what does he think of Brisket?!

Max is awesome and doing just great! Thanks for asking. I did give him a bit of brisket (without the seasoning) and he gobbled it up. The brisket its self is delicious. Last night I 're'purposed it into steak fajitas which DH loved, more of that tonight. Wednesday I will make some vegetable beef soup and then shave the rest down and freeze it to use for steak sandwiches or more fajitas. Below is a picture of Max waiting for DH at the door. OMG, I can't stand his cuteness!!

G'morning Janet & Menu family!
So happy to finally be home for the whole week. Between the trips to DC and then So Ca for college tour I felt like I was never home. The weekend was spent catching up with everything around the house and getting ready for the work week. I was able to squeeze in a movie run with gfs. We went to see "Us".... so scary! It's not usually our type of movie (we don't like scary movies) but it was filmed in our area so we went to see. Most of the movie I had my eyes covered or half screaming. I liked the social message though. Same as the movie "Get out"!
QOTD: I have always liked outside but while obese I was embarrassed to be seen. Most of the time my family went hiking, biking or doing other stuff while I stayed home with one excuse or another. Nowadays I lead the pack. Nothing can hold me back. In my area it doesn't get too hot or too cold so we can get out and do stuff most of the year. I gotta say though, I hate heat and humidity. I hate the feeling of getting out of the shower and being wet again due to humidity. I dread going to DC to visit DD in the summer.
Accountability : I declare myself the queen of accountability, even with being on the rd for two weeks!
My meals for the day:
- TONS of coffee and tea
- Crockpot shredded pork (cooking as we speak)
- Turkey meatballs
- Yogurt & parm cheese
Have a a great start of the week!
