What's on your Monday menu, RNYers?

Morning all! I'm working from home today so I'll get things started. The weather was nice this weekend, warm and some sunshine, but I didn't get to spend as much time outside as I would have liked. My stomach got really sick on Saturday, not sure if it was the Americano that I had (usually not a problem), a bug or just random yuckiness. We did some errands in the morning and then I came home and crawled in bed for the rest of the day. I was finally able to eat some lentil veg soup and that settled things down. Yesterday I spent most of the afternoon studying on the porch. It was really nice to just spend some time outside.

QOTD: Do you enjoy spending time outside or do you spend most of your time inside? What do you enjoy doing, whether sitting in a lawn chair or going for a hike? Has it changed since your surgery?

For me, I've always enjoyed being outside but for almost half of the year I couldn't deal with the heat and just ran from A/C to A/C. Last year was my first summer at goal and I didn't mind the heat (still VERY pale & prone to sunburn) but the horrid DC humidity was just as bad! We'll see how it is this summer being in better shape. I love to get out and garden & work in the yard, to hike & run in the park, to go on picnics, but I'm not big on sitting on the beach or by the pool. Gotta say that I'm always jealous of Liz's beautiful tan but I just turn lobster red and peel!

Accountability: again this week I want to focus on more water (at least 64 oz) and less coffee and less sugar. I also want to see if I can boost my grams of protein again since I am working on heavier weights in my workouts.

I cannot do paddle boarding! About 4 years ago we went to visit the (then) head of our group at her lake house. She said try the Stand up paddle board. Of course I fell and splashed her in her clothes. Then I tried two more times and fell both times before i paddled once. of course my daughter got on fully dressed and paddled all around the lake without incident. About a year later I tried stand up paddle boarding again and fell three times, once hard in shallow water. They suggested I try kayaking.

Maybe at a lighter weight my balance will be better.

I tried paddle boarding last summer for the first time. It's a great core workout.

Good morning menu friends! Had a nice relaxing weekend with lots of knitting,a trip to nearby Festus and lovely walks with Lily at the nearby park. I got my liquids in well this weekend and the goal for today is at least 100 ounces. Accountability was good step and food wise and weight is 124.6 today. QOTD when I was heavy I mostly stayed inside in the AC. Now I'd rather be outside hiking or working in the yard. Lily and I have already hiked around the building once and will take 2 more short and 1 3 mile hike after work. Heres the food B2/3 c earnest eats hot cereal L 4 oz deli meat and cheese D 4 oz lamb burger S yogurt and string cheese at breaks and no bedtime snack. Have a great day full of smart and conscious choices everyone!

Good morning everyone and happy Monday. I was up at 3:30. I am not sure what is up with my sleep schedule. I need to stay up later I think and have a bath with lavender and Epsom salts. That always seems to knock me out.

It has been dumping rain here in the PNW most of the weekend. I was able to get out for a nice walk on Saturday though. I am hoping to get out today for a walk/run and conquer the "big hill". There have been a few cougar sightings near my house and it makes me nervous walking, especially with my dog.

QOTD- I love to be outside in the yard. We built a pergola in the backyard and it's covered with wisteria. We spend our evenings outside and mornings having coffee. I am looking forward to warmer weather. I tolerate the heat much better since my weight loss. I love working in my yard too.

Food plan for today=

protein pancakes with Walden farms syrup

shredded chicken with romaine lettuce, salsa, and sour cream

Cauli rice with blackened chicken

Just 2 yogurt with 2 frozen strawberries

Lots of water and hot tea, vitamins always

Edited to add photo for Janet
