What's on your Thursday menu,RNYers?
Good morning all! Let's kick this Friday eve's butt and get even closer to the weekend, shall we?
Today my admin and I are ducking out at 2 -- she's never seen an Imax so I'm taking her down to the local museum for her first one! In my head it's a half day, even though I got here at 6 and I'm not taking a lunch, lol. I'm not sure if we're seeing the one on Volcanoes or the one on the ocean. There's a TJs near the museum and since there isn't actually one near me, I'll stop there on my way home.
QOTD - only activities this summer are a bunch of shows - Wicked, Trevor Noah, Eddie Izzard, Hamilton, Billy Joel, Mark Knophler...and I have tickets to see Hugh Jackman but it's looking like I will have to give those away due to a work trip; I'm hoping the work trip gets rescheduled but it's a global meeting so I'm expecting it to stick.
Menu
I had black coffee this morning....I picked the wrong cup and it only held 12 oz plus my espresso shot and pouring it into another cup so I could add half and half or PP seemed like too much work...it was better than I remember, lol.
B - ground beef and cheese casserole
L - cin raisin cottage cheese
S - L&F greek
D - tbd
I was light on fluids yesterday (only in the 80s) so focusing on that today.
Have a terrific Tuesday!
Just curious, (I know, it killed the cat) do you count jus****er in your fluids? I know I usually get about 15 cups of fluid in, 11 in water but then 2 cups for my iced protein coffee which I usually make with decaf coffee and I'll have at least 2 or 3 cups of coffee a day and 1 to 2 of those are decaf. Caffeine is somewhat dehydrating so I don't count that. As I said, just curious. I really need to drink more water but I spend my life on the toilet as it is, LOL. But ya gotta drink fluid to lose fluid.

Good morning! I'm taking the day off from the gym and lazing in bed this morning. The later shift has taken some adjusting, but I think I'm going to do fine with it. I did tell my husband that I'd rather we just eat something at work for dinner than come home and cook and not eat til 8-8:30. I don't want to eat dinner that late. The breakrooms are stocked with breakfast and sandwich fixings, so it's not fancy, but I'm fine with eating omelette for dinner. Or grabbing extras from the lunch caterer to put in the fridge for dinner.
breakfast: about to make an omelette with ham, peppers, and onions.
lunch: I don't know what's on the menu today but I might just do salad bar anyway, and then take a plate of the hot lunch option for dinner.

good morning everyone!
It's pretty gloomy and rainy out today but its not bothering me at all, because it SMELLS like SPRING! I am so pumped for the warmer weather and the sunshine!
I ordered a bunch of clothes from SheIn online last week and they were delivered yesterday...I am so flipping excited about these, you guys...they are super cute, decent quality, extremely inexpensive and the best part is that they FIT ME lol...I need more fancy places to get dressed up because I bought 2 dresses that I absolutely LOVE but they are not really work attire. I will have to start looking for more occasions haha.
QOTD: I got tickets for IMomSoHard in July, to go with my mom and Sister and SIL...and in August we have our annual family/cousins trip to Galena planned. I am also trying to make plans with my BFF from Kansas and his wife, to see if we can do a little mini vacation somewhere...maybe Denver? Somewhere we can drive to in less than a day and maybe just do a long weekend. She has a weird work schedule though, so still trying to figure out when she can get time off.
also, of course, we will go to the renaissance faire in July for DH's birthday...and I am hoping we can get a bunch of other little things planned too.

Amber, is the quality good? I ordered a couple of times from shein in my heavier days and I was so disappointed with the dress that I literally threw it in the garbage. I wonder if it was because I was heavier and didn't look good on me or ordered a size I wish I were. Their sizes are a little bit skewed, right? Can't remember if it's shein or another company in China. Post pics of the dresses.

OMG sheila, the dresses are ADORABLE...they were only around $20 so I was not expecting exceptional quality or anything but they are just as good as something you'd find at maybe like Forever 21. they may not hold up super great in a washing machine because of the particular fabrics they are made of (lace/mesh, etc) but the pants & skirt I ordered absolutely seem sturdy enough to withstand washing & ironing.
I did go by the sizing charts and read the reviews on them so some things I ordered in a Lg and one pair of pants people said to size up so I got XL and they all fit perfectly. the one pair of pants I got is pretty long but I can hem them and they'll be perfect.
I only have one pic of one of the dresses I tried on and one of the pants that are too long--i took them to send to my DH at work last night but I'll post them here.

G'morning Karen & Menu peeps,
Today we are in San Diego. I have no idea how people down here deal with traffic. Something that should take an hr takes three hours of drive. Yesterday from Long Beach to San Diego was close to 4 hours while it should have been around 2.5. Anyway, we are here and it's beautiful. Last two colleges to see here and tomorrow we drive back up home. Of all the colleges we have visited so far Long Beach CSU is the one I didn't care for. All the others I really liked. Of course I'm not deciding so I keep my mouth shut but in my head I'm pushing for the others.
QOTD: no set plans yet. But if DD stays in DC for work, we'll plan a trip to muggy and humid DC in the dead of summer. I'm supposed to go to Italy for a short visit in July. DD (if she is in DC) comes back home first week of August just to allow us to squeeze a 10 day trip to Hawaii before DS's school starts. But all of these plans are up in the air, we are all waiting to hear back from DD and her internships. She has one interview after another, and should know something for sure by end of April.
Accountabilty: I've been very good on this trip. We went to chick fil-a yesterday for lunch. It was our first time. We don't have this chain in our area but DS had heard of it and wanted to try it. I ordered the grilled chicken wrap, unwrapped it and ate the inside. Very yum.
Menu : up in the air but protein forward.
Happy Friday eve, my friends!
