Liz!! You are back! We missed you! About a week ago we were talking about you and wordering where you were. We figured it must be DH related. It must be hard, but I'm happy you are well.

Good morning everyone! Daisy - I hope you are feeling better and that Oliver is okay - I think I missed what was the matter, but I hope he is an the mend! I totally forgot I had a dentist appt this morning but I made it there on time. Even though I left there with such a headache, NOTHING could kill my buzz about meeting Sheila yesterday!! My first OH meet too! Sheila is as sunny as her smile and has a great sense of humor!! I agree that it was like talking to an old friend and the hugs were great!! I also got to meet her sweet son, Kye - what a cutie! She is a fierce mama bear that would do anything for her kids, I just love that! That was fun!!

QOTD - My sister is having a brunch on Easter. She invites a lot of great people and I can't wait to see everyone - it's so fun! Even my other sister who had checked out of the family is coming...I have barely spoken to her since my dad passed away over a year ago. I hope she doesn't bring any drama, oh hell no.

I am sorry to be so late to this...day late and a dollar short lol; however, I really need to be on OH more often right now, not only reading but interacting with people who understand. It has been a bit rough lately but I realize it is a snapshot not the entire movie if that makes sense, I guess, health wise/life wise/etc. if that makes any sort of sense.

QOTD: a small family dinner but Easter is not my holy/holiday so it is more for the matriarch (who is dear to my heart and loved), as it means a lot to her. We had coffee recently and one of our long visits where she shares memories she has of the past (I love to hear her recount them as she has a lot of moxy and is such a neat woman and I will miss her so much once she is no longer with us). I will probably bring a few sides that sit well with my GI situation...maybe deviled eggs and then something others will eat but I probably won't like a traditional green bean casserole so that she won't need to worry about making it and others enjoy it. I enjoy just being with family when I can. The days are long but the years are short so I hope everyone is able to do something special even if they don't have days off.

Menu is up in the air these days but protein forward. I usually have a protein drink mixed with coffee to start the day, a protein forward smoothie made with a quality whey based protein powder, greens, frozen berries and maybe half a frozen banana, some raw nuts etc. and that takes me a good while to get in but helps me get oral protein. I try to have L & F greek yogurt as my final meal before I hook up to the feeding pump, (we are trialing orally during 12 hours and pump for 12 hours as of my last visit with my program; however, weight is dropping and I suspect when I go back it will be back to 24 hours on the pump again until we can sort out where we need to be to maintain and gain and then maintain. ) I am trying to focus on good habits so once we sort this out my relationship with food will be as healthy as it needs to be and not fall into the trap of putting junk in my mouth for the sake of weight gain and calories. Nutrient dense can be calorie rich too. I often add frozen avocado, nuts, etc. to my smoothies with the greens but I realize this is a moving target. I try to find those who have been at this long term and learn from what they have been through. There are a lot of newbies or those in the honeymoon phase but I really find the meat from those who are further out, I guess. Strategies, lol.

Life is stressful right now and I just feel the need to share I find this forum so helpful. It isn't about the food but our relationship with food is impacted by so many things. I really admire those who have overcome so much and have been transparent about the ups and downs and overcome/pushed through because as many of us know...life happens.
