good morning peeps...

quick post this morning, I am a bit busy at work today...

QOTD: planning on Easter dinner at my sister's house again with my siblings and our families since my parents won't be back til the last week in April. We're getting together with the kids the weekend before to dye eggs. We'll have a little Easter egg hunt in the yard for the kids and a nice dinner we'll all bring a dish for like last year. I do not get any extra days off and DH will have to work on Easter since he works Sundays, but at least he gets holiday pay!

Morning: just one coffee w/ 1/4 Caramel PP today, SF cranberry juice (I think I might be getting a UTI so I am pushing fluids today)-lots of water after the juice
B: 1/2 C cottage cheese w/raspberries and 1 kiwi fruit
L: chicken enchilada soup w/sour cream
AS: robert irvine fit crunch protein bar
D: leftovers of something- still tons in the fridge!
ES: L&F greek yogurt & pretzels

have a great day my friends!

I'm having SUCH a tired day today - a little bit of lazy is what the doctor ordered, reading a book and watching some Netflix before the "must do" stuff crowds in. Hubby is down in NC helping his parents with house jobs.

Easter plans are up in the air for us - kids are away. We typically don't eat out on holidays but I'm very tempted to do just that on Easter Sunday.

Today's meals:

B: pure protein peach shake

S: a slice of leftover roast beef

L: leftover grilled salmon, asparagus

S: 1/2 protein bar

D: yet to be seen but I may take myself out for a salad with grilled shrimp.

QOTD- No plans, and I'm disappointed that there is no more AAF football so nothing to watch on Saturday & Sunday.

Accountability was not good I couldn't seem to stop snacking at night, but still no wine which is a good thing. 1068 calories, 86 protein, 135 carbs, 20 fat. Enough sodium from the Ahi jerky that I am totally bloated and up about a pound. I need to drink a ton of water to flu**** out.

It's hump day so at least we are on the downhill slide to Friday!

Have a great day everyone!

Talk about MIA! I'm sorry you are still dealing with migraines and hope the puppy is recovering well. I've been MIA due to dealing with DH (Alzheimer's) and a lot of company in Florida. DH is now somewhere around stage 6c on the Reisberg 7 stage scale which means it is a lot of work. He attends adult daycare twice a week now. And everyone visited Florida this winter partially because we don't know how long DH will be able to be here. So lots of stress and "vacation" eating which kicked my carb cravings into gear. As a result, this winter I gained the "freshman 15". I'm back on plan starting yesterday and I'm determined to be back down by the end of May.

I've missed you all and need to do some thread reading to catch up! BTW, I have been on OH on a VSG maintenance thread, so wasn't completely gone.

QOTD: My BIL is our last and final guest in Florida arriving on Easter Sunday, so I will cook the traditional Easter meal of ham, asparagus and some kind of potato (the latter I will skip). BIL will be here mainly to spend time with DH in advance of staying with him in June when I go to Aruba with friends. DH is not able to travel anymore other than back and forth to our Cape Cod and Florida homes.

3 year post-op (last week was my surgiversary) - post maintenance, trying to lose regain.

Always lots of coffee...

B: Eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: maybe the same as breakfast

D: Leftover grilled grouper and veggies

S: cottage cheese

Liz, I am so sorry with how difficult a time you are having. I lost my mom's mom to alzheimers about 10 years ago and I have seen how tough it is once it's so advanced. She ended up in a place with 24 hour care. It's terribke to see someone who once had all their faculties lose them. I Hope you can find some time to take great care of yourself. Even if it's just going to get a pedicure or lunch with friends. Being a caretaker is a never-ending and pretty thankless job.

And regain sucks. No way around it. I find it takes a lot longer to take off than it did to add. So be kind to yourself if it's not gone by May. Keep plugging along each day but don't be discouraged! Hugs to you!
