This is about the 5th time I tried to get this post written, why does everyone insist on interrupting me first thing in the morning? Especially when I'm already cranky?!

Started out with an early morning monitoring appointment at the fertility clinic. Everything looks good to go ahead with the mock cycle, so tomorrow I get to add more injections to my day - the fun never ends. This is the injection I'm actually nervous about - progesterone in oil... apparently it can be painful.

QOTD: I start my week days by listening to the NPR Up First podcast when I'm in the shower. This is a good 10 minute brief on national and international happenings. Honestly, I'd like to keep it at just that, but DH loooooves to have the local news on in the evening. It makes me crazy though and I usually try to tune it out. I grew up in a house where radio news was on all the time, but no TV news, so now it just feels so incredibly sensational to me.

Accountability: Awful. Just plain awful. I'm blaming the hormones, but man, it's awful and I need to get my head in the game!

TSS: 5 years

B: coffee, coffee, egg cups

S: yogurt

L: cottage cheese, a few whole grain crackers, string cheese

S: apple and almonds

D: TJ's chicken sausages

S: PB pretzels

E: I will get myself to Aqua Zumba, come hell or high water

that's the injection I was most nervous about too...I made my DH do it LOL...and it didn't even hurt at ALL! I was pleasantly surprised

That's what I'm hoping will be my experience as well. I don't normally mind injections, but I'm psyching myself out seeing all these posts from women who say it stings, they get knots at the injection site, etc. But I've also read a bunch of tips like warming up the vial by sticking it in your bra for a while before prepping it, massaging the injection site for 3-5 minutes after, using a heating pad for 10 minutes after - so I think I'm ready.

DH will definitely do these injections - whether he wants to or not!

G'morning menu family!

We are on the road to visit some colleges. Presently in SLO to check out Cal Poly. How often do you sleep in the same room with your 17 year old kid? You see certain habits/routines and think...huh? This morning he's had a different sounding alarm every 15 minutes starting at 5:30 am and didn't wake up for any of them. No wonder every morning by 6:15 I'm at his door banging to wake him up for school. The poor kid is trying but I guess it's teenage brain, doesn't wake up to anything but me screaming his name! Needless to say I was up at 5:30 for no reason at all. Our tour of cal poly is scheduled for 10:00 am.

QOTD: I'm a news junkie. I get alerts on my phone. I check the news online as soon as I wake up. Throughout the day as soon as I have free time I check out different international news outlets to get all the facts. I agree with those who say news raises their blood pressure, and I opted out of tweeter...too many idiots who would just repeat a sound bite with no actual truth behind it. Unfortunately for the last couple of years the tweeter has become the news...I wonder why!

Accountability: we stopped at in-n-out for dinner and I had a protein style double double. Ok with protein but not so ok with the calories. And I felt uncomfortable afterwards. My eyes are always bigger than my stomach.

My meals for today are all up in the air. Even though I brought tons of snack with me (jerky, epic chicken, couple of quest bars). I will eat protein forward and mind my calories.

I need to switch who I follow. Because no matter what somebody retweets a stupid tweet to answer back and I go down the rabbit hole. 2 hours later and I'm still steaming and my blood pressure is through the roof.

Oh, I also have certain words muted so I never see when other people go off on those particular ratholes. That probably helps more than anything!!
