What's on your Sunday menu, RNYers?
Well, spring has unsprung in Mississippi. Now I know we are warmer than many northern states but I'm very cold-natured. I grew up in Wisconsin and walked to school in -20 degrees but I couldn't do it now for sure!!! I hate being bundled up. I used to say, can't wait for summer and then when summer got here, I'd be saying I can't wait for winter. Now, I know better. I like neither season. Fall and spring!!!
Accountability: Has been a good week, have eaten on plan, tried Halo Top Ice Cream, 3 flavors and can honestly say, I'm not a fan. Anyone got a good, ice cream recipe that actually tastes good and fits a bariatric diet? Also, I've found 2 Quest Bars I actually, really like. None that I've tried in the past have tasted like what they said they tasted like. If you are going to say you are cookies and cream, you should taste like cookies and cream. And I've always thought the texture was funky. I was in Walmart, had forgotten to bring a snack and then we couldn't leave because there was an active tornado warning in the area and I was STARVING!!! That does not happen very often. I tried Birthday Cake. It was sooo good and lots of protein and fiber. Several days later, I tried a White Chocolate and Raspberry. Loved it. Also tried cookie dough. Yuck, threw that out.
