What's on your Sunday menu, RNYers?
I feel like there's a good chance someone else is already posting!
we drove from Omaha you KC Friday night, but due to the flooding I29 is closed, so it took us nearly 5 hours on side highways for a trip that normally only takes us 2.5-3 hours. It was raining heavily and we had to slow down on the road because we couldn't see anything.
Yeaterday at Planet ComicCon was fun though, I met Mercedes Lackey, who was my favorite fantasy author through my adolescence. I was fangirling! I also went to a panel featuring the Weasley twins and Ginny, and another featuring Lex and Clark from Smallville (Michael Rosenbaum and Tom Welling) and Dean Cain! They were hilarious! I also watched Kevin Eastman, the creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, draw an original drawing (a mashup of Batman with Mikey as Robin). Lots of nerding! I will likely post a few pics this week
accountability: most of my meals have been fast food or convention center concessions. I've been trying to eat protein forward still, but it's not been great options all the same. I'm not looking forward to the scale Monday morning.
Breakfast: we've posted on Facebook for breakfast recommendations before we get on the road home
lunch: likely will be in the car so either skipping it or will find a protein snack on the way
dinner: out with my mom once back in Omaha. It will likely be Mexican, and I know I can make a decent choice.

Surgeon: Dr. Kalyana Nandipati (Omaha, NE)
Mornin' Weekenders!
I'm back on the grid! Surgery went well, but my arms hurt (breasts & sides don't, though). Transitioning is painful, but just lying here - or sitting there - is OK. I know this surgery is supposed to be an easier recovery than the LBL was, so hopefully there will just be a handful of somewhat rough days. I'm already feeling better than I was yesterday. I spent the first night at the hospital and am back at the hotel as of late yesterday afternoon - it's so good to be back! I have my first post-op tomorrow - with the surgeon's blessing, we can go back home to Wisconsin after that appt.
Accountability - had to deal with crappy food at the hospital (crappy with respect to both taste and nutrition), but I'm now back to eating more normal (to me) fare. My calories are a bit low, but they probably will be for awhile. I'm mostly trying to really push the protein and will for the first three or four weeks - I'm aiming for 150 grams a day. That would have been impossible at the hospital, but I should be able to do it here since I brought protein shakes and Greek yogurt from home. And once we're home, no problem...
3 years 9 months out:
B: 1/3 C oatmeal, 4 oz Activa yogurt, 5.3 oz Chobani yogurt, 1 T mixed nuts, 13 blueberries, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: Greek yogurt
AS: protein shake
D: I have some hummus left from dinner the other night - so probably that with some whole grain crackers. And maybe another yogurt
ES: protein shake if I'm still low
Good to hear that you are back home and recovering. And great picture from last Friday.

Good morning, everybody. We are back in chilly Illinois. I was hoping that when we came home it would be Spring, but no such luck. We had a great stay in Florida - lots of pool time, visited some friends and family and did a little fishing/boating. We didn't actually get off of our butts and do any touring until yesterday when it was time to go home.
Vacation started with seeing this guy frantically trying to run up the down escalator. It seems that he stepped onto the down escalator without realizing that he left his wife holding a newborn and two others under the age of four on the precipice of the double floor escalator. Looks like he was starting vacation in the doghouse. Fortunately, a couple of other Moms were able to escort the two little ones down.
Accountability on vacation was about as expected, some hot dog buns, a couple of slices of pizza and a bagel were the main misses. I stayed away from all ice creams, candies, and other desserts so I will take it. I managed to lose almost two pounds over the week which made me happy.
Our rental house had all tile floors on concrete slabs, so the Florida Burpees were done on the washer and dryer mats in garage. They worked OK except that sometimes I would accidentally kick the matts. Nonetheless, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25 Florida Burpees. Today I was back to my nice soft rug for 26 Burpees.
Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese
Snack: Protein bar
Lunch: Hamburger
Snack: PB FIT
Dinner: not sure, may go to movies
Have a great day, all.

Morning pouch peeps! It's a rainy Sunday here, but I was able to get my run in before the rain began. I have nothing to do today- I'd like to go to Ross and look for a few tops. And I got rid of two pairs of jeans- I realize I need jeans that are 'tall' average just ends up being too short. I already got drawn Into some work stuff so will do so more stuff later.
