Loose Skin Surgery
23 months out from my WLS.
In 3 hours I arrive at the hospital to have the loose skin removed from my bra band down to my privates.
Excited and wondering if I will miss or morn my apron that I've had since my teen years.
Also concerned I'll go off track and regain.
My mind is busy with how will I feel waking up from surgery with a body I've never seen.
I've worked hard to get here.
I find myself getting off track at times and that worries me
I'm so thankful I found this site.
Here's to the new me.
I was ELATED to get rid of that apron and am happy every day that it's not there anymore! I look like a normal person again!!
as far as going off track, one of the reasons I had plastic surgery (although not a major one) is that I've read gaining or losing more than 10 lbs can mess with your results. For me, this is just one more incentive to work hard at maintaining my weight!!
Good Luck! It does kind of mess with your body image for awhile because it happens so quickly...I never considered it mourning. No regrets.

Had tummy tuck and posterior body lift in 2003. I have never missed my apron for a single second. I did regain 90 pounds over the years and have since lost it. I still have normal looking (not tight) skin on the lower half, but I do have some "roll appearance" to area below the boobs. However, that was kind of loose even after my tummy tuck. Now that I've lost my regain I'm thinking about getting my arms done in the next year or two.
