What's on your Tuesday menu RNY'ers?
Your visit sounds awesome and I hate that I am out of town and missing the chance to meet you! I hope you have the best time! We toured the White House last year for the first time. I think the Capitol tour is awesome if you can swing it. Also, if you haven't visited the National Museum of African American History and Culture, it's amazing. Sad, but important. You can try to log onto their website at 6 am for tickets, and then try an hour later. Have a great time with your daughter!
Oh Em, last time I was there (last March) I did the Capitol tour. It just so happened I was the only one for that time slot so I got my own private tour which I loved. We also visited the African museum and loooooved it.
One thing I haven't done yet is the Arlington cemetery. It's on our list for this time.
Will miss you! :(

I have not visited the Arlington Cemetery either - how crazy. I will add it to my list. I just love how walkable and fun DC is. Kris' parents and sister are coming for Easter weekend and I think we will rent paddleboats on the Potomac!
Have you ever eaten at Joe's Seafood, near the White House? Spendy but WORTH IT. Their dover sole is life-changing.
Have the best time!!!
Oooh I'll let the group know. Fri night all 5 of us have dinner together, maybe we can go there.
Thu I'm taking DD and all of her friends (all 10 of them) out to dinner. No idea where, she has made all the arrangements. Last year we went to some sort of bus boys and poets? Can't remember the name. It's so fun taking them out and hearing them talk talk talk. It reminds me of the good old days when a bunch of them were in my car taking them to dance or competitions and they would forget I was in the car.
I LOVE DC, since the day we went for a college tour I fell in love with it and would move there in a heartbeat. But DH and DS are like fish, can't live away from Pacific.
Mwah!

Omg doNOT take the 10 of them to Joes Seafood and Steaks - you would need a home equity loan to pull that off haha! Busboys and Poets is super funky and fun! I used to love love love when my parents visited me at college and would take me and my friends to dinner. We always picked an Italian place called Little Joes and it was so awesome to have a parent to pick up the bill, and I know my mom felt just like you do. All my college friends love my mom. That's so cool you get to do that. Have the best time! I'm currently sleepless in the hotel room, wishing I were home! The glamour of work travel!
Oh no, I was thinking of us (moms) and just our daughters; 5 of us to go to Joes.
I have no idea where DD has planned for her friends group dinner.
Just landed in Philly! :-)

morning everyone!
I am still trying to work out the logistics of making my fashion/beauty/WLS lifestyle vlog. Posting on instagram and FB is pretty cool, but I really want to do videos now.
I found a simple editing app I can use on my phone but now I don't know WHEN I am going to film...I am thinking to make it work I will need to wake up earlier in the morning to film myself actually getting ready. I am going to see if I can try making one on Sunday when DH is home in the morning, since Saturday mornings are just too full of other errands. We'll see. I have a ton of ideas but my free time is not ideal...I am thinking waking up early sounds terrible, BUT this is something I really want to do, and if that is what I need to do, I am going to do it.
QOTD: if I had a whole week with nothing else planned, I would probably spend it doing a lot of the things around the house I never feel like I have time for, like fixing small things, cleaning & organizing. If the weather was nice, I'd probably take Story to the beach down the street or the park and just enjoy the weather outside...maybe read and get a tan LOL.
Morning: Coffee & 1/2 PP
B: low carb banana bread & 1/2C raspberries
L: parmesan shrimp & mixed veggies
AS: greek L&F yogurt/Kiwi
D: turkey taco salad
ES: turkey & light string cheese
Have a fabulous day everyone!
