Thanks for starting us off ! I don't know about you but I need the accountability. Yesterday acvountability stepwise was great--11,235 but food stank. I ate a pack of peanut butter crackers at break time that I did not need. Just because food is out does not mean I have to eat it! Weight today 125. Today is a new day and heres the plan--2 short and 1 long with Miss Lily and the food B 2/3c earnest eats hot cereal L 2/3 c white chicken chili D fish or shrimp at local fish fryS serving of pork rinds with 1 T salsa. No exciting plans for the weekend just laundry and straightening up the camper. One more week here at the warehouse then home for 1 day and then to work at a church in Hillsboro Missouri for 3 weeks doing painting and replacing flooring. Have a great day full of smart and conscious choices--and no snacks for me at break time!
G'morning everybody and happy Fri-yay!!
Hillary - Zoey looks ferocious!
We are supposed to get more rain today and hopefully sunshine for the weekend. DH left for a guys only weekend in Tahoe. They are all friends from high school. About 10 years ago there was a high school reunion they didn't wanna go so they came up with this Tahoe reunion. Since then a group of 10-15 friends get together and ski/play poker/go to casinos Fri-Sun every year. They come from all over the US, I think the farthest one lives in HI.
QOTD: I have a 10K race tomorrow. After that I'm working on taxes. It's gonna take me all weekend to get everything ready for our CPA. I hate doing this. Every year I tell myself I gotta do this monthly so I'm not stuck with it in March and every year I slack off. But this is a good weekend, with DH gone I can be at it all day long.
Accountability: enlighten icecream bars!!! They are so yum! The plan was to have one but somehow I had two salted caramel! Calorie wise they are OK but the carbs were totally out of my range.
My meals for the day:
- TONS of coffee and tea
- Carnitas (shredded pork in crockpot)
- Rotisserie chicken breast
- Yogurt & parm cheese
Pics are from last Sun when we went to see Hamilton in SAn Francisco. We ended up not doing "sophisticated" because couldn't walk in high heels in SF.
Have a great weekend everybody!

Good morning, all. Only one work day until vacation. I cannot wait to feel the sun after this long Chicago winter. Work today, gym and packing tonight. My intention is to stay close to on plan during vacation. Maybe a hot dog bun or something by the pool but really try and not have anything that becomes habit forming and definitely not testing the dumping/non-dumping conundrum.
I have been trying to follow no meat Fridays during Lent this year which has been a challenge. I feel kind of hungry and grazing all day and when I look at my calories at day end I am surprised at how high they are. Plus I spend all day thinking about meat. Even more so than usual.
Speaking of meat, before it closed we used, to go to Del Frisco's for work dinners and the restaurant was right next to Christian Loubiton on Oak Street. My assistant used to scheme to ply the partners with wine in hopes that a drunken spirit of generosity would lead us to by her a pair of heels. The problem with her plan is that she is a petite woman, whereas we were, comparatively, huge lumbering oafs ("oaves"?), so she would be spent long before we reached that festive level of spending. Also, the store was closed hours before we reached the end of the wine.
But I do know that if I ever see those red heels flitting down the hallway I should check my credit card statement.
