Hope - Sharing love and support
Friends,
I was talking to my husband today: I do not know any woman PHD researcher that I admire RNY. He replied: I know, you. You are admirable, he said.
This scene is so beautiful that I want to share with you.
I hope better days.
We are admirable womans in this forum.
Edit: I living an difficult process of aceptation.
Accepting ourselves and our body is hard in this journey, constantly changes.
Sounds like you have a husband who loves and supports you.

Your husband is a keeper. Keep that in mind for days when he does something stupid. Because we do that and they do that.

I believe there are quite a few of us here (myself included) with advanced degrees. But a fancy diploma is no immunity from struggles with weight and body acceptance.

There are good reasons to choose both surgeries; it really depends on your medical situation. Rationality doesn't have much to do with it, I think :)

I have a masters and three undergrad degrees. I chose to have the RNY, and have absolutely no regrets.
